Objective: to identify the constituent services of the network to combat violence against rural women in municipalities in the northwestern region of Rio Grande do Sul and to analyze the articulation and communication of services in search of the resolution of situations of violence. Method: descriptive-exploratory, qualitative study, carried out through semi-structured interviews with 26 professionals from intersectoral services, as well as managers and/or those responsible for these services. Data were systematized through content analysis. Results: although the professionals collectively discuss and plan coping actions, diffi culties were identifi ed in the approximation between services, related to the defi nition of fl ow, knowledge of actions/referrals, fear of seeing and reporting violence, understanding that it is not a question of demand of their fi eld of action, and women's access to services. Final considerations: it is evident the need to implement public policies that address the singularities of violence against women in rural settings. RESUMO Objetivo: identifi car os serviços constituintes da rede de enfrentamento à violência contra mulheres rurais em municípios da região noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul e analisar a articulação e a comunicação dos serviços na busca da resolutividade das situações de violência. Método: estudo descritivo-exploratório, qualitativo, realizado por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 26 profi ssionais de serviços intersetoriais, além de gestores e/ou responsáveis por estes serviços. Os dados foram sistematizados mediante a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: embora os profi ssionais discutam e planejem coletivamente as ações de enfrentamento, identifi caram-se difi culdades na aproximação entre os serviços, relacionadas à defi nição de fl uxo, conhecimento das ações/ encaminhamentos, medo de ver e notifi car a violência, entendimento de que não se trata de uma demanda do seu campo de atuação, e o próprio acesso das mulheres aos serviços. Considerações fi nais: evidencia-se a necessidade de implementação de políticas públicas que atendam as singularidades da violência contra as mulheres no cenário rural. Objective: Our goal herein has been to gain further insights regarding the professionals' social representations in Primary Health Care (PHC) related to violence against women perpetrated by an intimate partner. Methods: Qualitative research having focus on Social Representations, which was analyzed by the Structural Analysis of Narrative. The study scenarios were eight PHC units from the municipality of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Eight focus groups were carried out, where each group participants number ranged from 8 to 12, comprising a total of 53 professionals. Results: Two categories appeared: 1. From popular saying, the domestic violence banalization against women identifying the meaning cores: "do not interfere in a couple fight"; "high incidence of violence legitimized in the social representations". 2. In defense of the intimate partner abuser held the meaning cores: "alcohol and other drugs as violence triggers"; "representations associated to gender perspectives"; "guilt imputation towards the woman". Conclusions: This study showed that violence against women is legitimized, accepted and tolerated according to participants' speeches. Moreover, violence against women has been also inferred as something imputed/inherent to women.Descriptors: Domestic violence, Violence against women, Primary health care.

This qualitative research, grounded in Social Representations Theory, aimed to describe, based on the representations of women with a history of undergoing conjugal violence, the elements which constitute the social support network for confronting this health problem. Interviews were held with 11 women with a history of experiencing conjugal violence. The data were categorized using thematic analysis. The study shows that support from religion, family members, friends and NGO, such as the Calafate Women's Collective allows the women to feel supported, favoring the search for a life without violence. Knowledge regarding the social support network available in the community is essential for the professionals who work in the spaces of health, especially when the elements which it is composed of reflect the representations of a specific group, therefore configuring a common knowledge which is shared by the community.
