Abstract: Este artigo trata de algumas mudanças nos hábitos alimentares na cidade de São Paulo entre o final do século XIX e o começo do século XX. Novos restaurantes, cafés e padarias foram criados juntamente com novas exigências de higiene na produção e na venda de alimentos.
