Sobre a presença das ciências sociais e humanas na saúde pública

Abstract

ResumoEste artigo aborda resumidamente o desenvolvimento das ciências sociais e humanas em saúde no ensino e na pesquisa no Brasil, desde sua implantação na década de 1960 até o momento, destacando suas especificidades nos diferentes níveis de ensino e nos temas pesquisados e instituições acadêmicas onde foram implantados. Aborda algumas questões que permeiam o debate atual, dentre elas os critérios de produtividade acadêmica como critério de avaliação e demandas específicas daquelas ciências, a importância da interdisciplinaridade e os requisitos dos perfis dos profissionais para adaptar-se a esse tipo de interlocução na Saúde Pública/Saúde Coletiva. Professora Colaboradora da disciplina AbstractThis article is a summary about the development of the social and human sciences in health in teaching and research in Brazil, since their implementation in the 1960s until the present moment. There are considerations about their specificities at the different levels of teaching, and also in the researched themes and in the academic institutions where they were implemented. It approaches questions like the academic productivity criteria as evaluation standard and specific demands of the social and human sciences in health, as well as the importance of interdisciplinarity and the requirements of the professionals' profiles to adapt to this type of interlocution in Public Health.

An analysis of articles on qualitative studies conducted by doctors published in scientific journals in Brazil between 2004 and 2013
