RESUMO Objetivo Comparar a percepção dos profissionais das áreas de enfermagem e administrativa frente ao ruído no pronto-socorro. Métodos Estudo descritivo, com análise quantitativa. A percepção do ruído foi avaliada por meio de questionário, em forma de entrevista. Participaram do estudo 59 profissionais, 38 da área de enfermagem e 21 da área administrativa. O levantamento estatístico levou em conta o nível de significância de 0,05 (5%), através do teste Qui-quadrado. Resultados A percepção do ruído pelos profissionais de enfermagem e administração, no pronto-socorro, foi considerada como ruidosa e mais intensa no turno da tarde. Profissionais da enfermagem identificaram mais os ruídos dos equipamentos (60,53%) e os da área administrativa, os ruídos de pessoas (85,71%). As queixas extra-auditivas mais citadas foram cansaço, estresse, ansiedade, nervosismo e irritabilidade. Os profissionais da enfermagem demonstraram ser os mais incomodados com o ruído, porém, os administrativos referiram dificuldades em desempenhar suas tarefas. Conclusão Houve diferença na percepção do ruído entre os profissionais das áreas de enfermagem e administrativa, mas para ambas as áreas, o ruído de maior incômodo é aquele produzido por pessoas, mostrando a necessidade de programas educativos de prevenção e conscientização para redução de ruído, direcionados aos profissionais do pronto-socorro.

Objetivo: Identificar e mensurar as principais fontes de ruído, dimensionar os níveis de ruído no ambiente e conhecer a percepção dos funcionários acerca dos ruídos em uma Unidade Neonatal. Material e método: Estudo quantitativo, desenvolvido na Unidade Neonatal de um Hospital Universitário no norte do Paraná, em três etapas: levantamento das principais fontes de ruído e subsequente mensuração; entrevista com a equipe multiprofissional relacionada à percepção dos mesmos acerca dos ruídos na unidade; e dimensionamento do ruído no ambiente por duas semanas não consecutivas. Resultados: As principais fontes ruidosas encontradas foram: alarmes de monitores e equipamentos, torneira (aberta), tampa da lixeira, entre outros. A média das duas semanas foi: Leq 44,4 dB, Lmax 104,5 dB, Lmin 40 dB e Lpeak de 144,8 dB. Os funcionários reconheceram que o ruído intenso acarreta prejuízo a eles e aos bebês. Conclusão: Constatou-se que o valor médio dos ruídos está dentro do preconizado, porém com níveis altíssimos de Lpeak e Lmax. ResumoObjective: To identify and measure the main sources of noise, to determine the levels of ambient noise and to know the perception of employees about noise in a Neonatal Unit. Material and method: A quantitative study developed in a Neonatal Unit School Hospital, Paraná, Brazil, conducted in three steps: identification of the main sources of noise and subsequent measure; interview with the multidisciplinary team about the perception of noise in the unit; and dimensioning noise ambient for two non-consecutive weeks. Results: The main sources of noise were: monitor and equipment alarms, open water faucets, trash can lids, among others. The mean) of the two weeks period was: Leq 44.4 dB, Lmax 104.5 dB, Lmin 40 dB and Lpeak 144.8 dB. Employees acknowledged that intense noise is prejudicial to them and to babies. Workers in their labor activities may be subject to operational risks, such as noise. The objective of this work was to use geostatistics and Statistical Process Control (SPC) through individual charts to map and characterize the magnitude of the spatial variability of noise produced by a backhoe, to identify areas of health for workers. The experiment was developed at the technical college of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. A 63-kW backhoe loader and a digital decibel meter were used to collect noise levels at points distributed in a regular 2.0 x 2.0 m sampling grid around the machine. The spatial dependence of the noise was analyzed by adjusting the Wave-type semi-variogram, interpolation by ordinary kriging, and SPC. It was possible to characterize the spatial dependence of noise levels produced by the backhoe as well as to carry out, through individual letters in dialogue with geostatistics, the mapping of their spatial distribution to identify healthy areas for workers. It could have been found in the evaluation of the backhoe loader control chart, that there was no reduction in the variability of noise data, which was approximately 73.29 dB(A) for the sampled points. This shows an average very close to the analysis found in the execution of the descriptive statistics of the noise generated by the backhoe loader.
