Impacto da doença periodontal na qualidade de vida de indivíduos diabéticos dentados

Abstract: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a possibilidade da doença periodontal comprometer a qualidade de vida de indivíduos portadores de diabetes mellitus. Foram examinados e entrevistados 159 diabéticos dentados, cadastrados no Hospital Municipal de Itaúna, Minas Gerais, Brasil. Os parâmetros clínicos periodontais registrados foram: sangramento gengival à sondagem, profundidade de sondagem e nível clínico de inserção.
