Show more

“…The first is the type of suture usedsimple pattern on the mesial and distal region, which can determine higher tension on site, predisposing to suture dehiscence. Similar data were reported by Duarte et al (2007), which may suggest that the association of sutures in Sultan pattern, encompassing the central portion of the most coronal region of the flap to be more efficient procedure in that. Another factor that may be related to dehiscence is the infection of the defect -a process envisaged on the model and in accordance with the natural development of periodontal disease.…”

“…3B). The reduction in radiopacity at the interface can also suggest the formation of connective tissue or even immature bone of low density, as suggested by Yamamuro et al (1994) and Duarte et al (2007), indicating the beginning of the bone regeneration process.…”

“…The process of osteointegration of hydroxyapatite in the alveolar process of the mandible of dogs with defects of 6x5 mm in the vestibular surface with exposure of the root of the fourth premolar, with observation of 21, 42, 60, 90 and 120 days, had the inflammation in the treated group was lower than in the control group, with acceleration of the filling of the defect triggering inflammation and gingival hemorrhage, without compromising its indication 20 .…”
