Abstract: ABSTRACT. Morphology of immatures and adult of Coccidophilus citricola Brèthes (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae, Sticholotidinae), predator of citrus armored scales (Hemiptera, Diaspididae). Immatures and adults of Coccidophilus citricola Brèthes, 1905 are described and illustrated, using scanning electron microscopy. The larva is compared to those of Microweisea Cockerel and other species of Coccinellidae, and the adults with two North American species of the Genus Coccidophilus Brèthes.

“…The number of eggs per female per day varies from eight to ten, reaching as many as twenty, depending on the age and longevity of the mating pair. Silva et al (2005) have reported similar numbers of eggs of C. citricola under the body of the diaspidid A. nerii. Eggs were very fragile and had a subelliptical shape and a white-clear color (Figure 1b).…”

“…(11,85%) (Coccinellidae).
