Resumo -O estresse salino afeta o crescimento das plantas em todo o mundo. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o crescimento inicial da cultura do gergelim irrigada com águas salinas em solo com e sem biofertilizante de esterco fermentado de gado bovino. O experimento foi realizado na área experimental da Universidade Federal do Ceará, Fortaleza-CE, no período de agosto a setembro de 2014. Os tratamentos foram distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 4 x 2, com cinco repetições, referente aos valores de condutividade elétrica da água de irrigação: 0,8; 1,5; 3,0 e 4,5 dS m -1 , em solo sem e com biofertilizante de esterco bovino, diluído em água na proporção de 1:1, ao nível de 10% do volume do substrato. Foram avaliadas as seguintes variáveis: número de folhas, altura de plantas, diâmetro do caule, área foliar, matéria seca da parte aérea, da raiz e total. O estresse salino prejudica o número de folhas, a altura de plantas e matéria seca da parte aérea em plantas gergelim. O biofertilizante bovino atenuou os efeitos deletérios da salinidade sobre a área foliar, diâmetro do caule, matéria seca da raiz e total em plantas de gergelim. Palavras-chave:Oleaginosa; Estresse salino; Insumo orgânico. SALINE WATER AND BOVINE BIOFERTILIZER IN SESAME CROPAbstract -Saline stress affects plant growth worldwide. In order to evaluate the initial development of irrigated sesame culture with saline water in soil with and without bovine biofertilizer, an experiment it was conducted in full sun, in the experimental area of the Meteorological Station in Fortaleza, Brazil, in the period from August to September 2014. The treatments were arranged in a completely randomized design in a factorial 4 x 2 with eight replications, referring to the electric conductivity of the irrigation water: 0.8; 1.5; 3.0 and 4.5 dS m -1 , with and without ground beef biofertilizer diluted with water at a ratio of 1: 1 level of 10% of the substrate volume. The following variables were evaluated: leaf number, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, dry matter of shoot, root and total. Saline stress impairs the number of leaves, plant height and shoot dry matter in sesame plants. The bovine biofertilizer attenuated the deleterious effects of salinity on leaf area, stem diameter, root dry matter and total on sesame plants.

-Banana farming is an activity of great economic and social importance, and is carried out in most tropical countries. The aim of this work was to evaluate the biomass accumulation and levels of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) in micropropagated plants of the banana "Prata Catarina" during the acclimatization phase, under different types and doses of biofertilisers. The experimental design included randomised blocks in a 2 × 5 + (2) factorial scheme, with two types of liquid biofertilisers (bovine biofertiliser with anaerobic and aerobic fermentation) and five biofertiliser doses (0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, and 1.25 L plant -1 week -1 ), as well as two additional treatments (control and recommended mineral fertilisation). The following variables were analysed: dry weight of the leaves and roots, and mineral element content (N, P, K, Ca, and Mg) in different parts of the plant (leaf and root). During 90 days of acclimatization, the nutritional contribution of bovine biofertiliser with anaerobic fermentation was greater in comparison with the biofertiliser with aerobic fermentation and the control, but lower in comparison with mineral fertilisation. The 1000-mL dose of the biofertiliser with anaerobic fermentation promoted greater dry weight accumulation in the leaves and roots of the banana "Prata Catarina". The biofertiliser with anaerobic fermentation promoted higher levels of N, K, and Ca in the leaves, whereas the biofertiliser with aerobic fermentation promoted higher levels of P in the leaves and roots.Keywords: Musa sp.. Prata Catarina, durante a fase de aclimatização sob diferentes tipos doses e de biofertilizantes. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados em arranjo fatorial 2 × 5 + (2), referentes a dois tipos de biofertilizantes líquidos (bovino de fermentação anaeróbia e aeróbia) e cinco doses de biofertilizantes (0,25; 0,50; 0,75; 1,00 e 1,25 L planta -1 semana -1 ), com dois tratamentos adicionais (controle e adubação mineral recomendada). Biofertilizers in horticultural crops

Bovine manure biofertilizers can exert physical, chemical, and biological effects on the soil and the phytoprotective, physiological, and productive actions in horticultural crops. The literature review was performed to compile information on the production, uses, and effects of bovine manure biofertilizers on soil properties and plants. Biofertilizers are produced by organic components, minerals, and inoculants. Among the organic sources, the bovine manure is the most used. The fermentation of the bovine manure in water constitutes the Vairo biofertilizer, the most employed in Brazilian horticulture. With the chemical enrichment of this preparation came the Supermagro, Agrobio, and Agrobom biofertilizers. In the soil, it can act in the improvement of soil fertility, physical properties, and in the diversity and abundance of the biota. Also, it can act in control of pests and diseases, leaf composition concerning macro and micronutrients, and in the production and post-harvest quality of horticultural crops. Therefore, this review describes the preparation, chemical composition, and utilization of bovine manure biofertilizers in both soil and plants, offering perspectives of research on the formulations, application, and effects of these inputs on horticultural species.
