Objective: To analyze the factors associated with common mental disorders (CMD) in primary care female nursing professionals. Methods: We performed exploratory cross-sectional study, using a structured questionnaire, applied to 451 primary care female nursing professionals from five municipalities of Bahia, Brazil, in a randomly selected sample. The outcome variable (CMD) was evaluated by SRQ-20. To analyze the factors associated with the prevalence of CMD, logistic regression analysis was used in blocks. “…No que diz respeito às relações socioprofissionais, é preciso fazer intervenções que estimulem a coesão e integração da equipe, propiciar ambiente que permita espaços de discussão e de possibilidades de adoção de novas estratégias, estimular atitudes de cooperação na equipe (Mendes & Morrone, 2010). Diferentes estudos têm apontado o papel chave das relações de trabalho (Araújo et al, 2016;Suadicani, Olesen, Bonde, & Gyntelberg, 2014), demonstrando, empiricamente, a importância da dimensão do apoio social no trabalho e da qualidade dessa colaboração entre colegas, podendo atenuar os riscos do comprometimento excessivo com o trabalho ou até mesmo a intenção de abandonar o trabalho. Além disso, ações voltadas para o conhecimento e reconhecimento da atividade desempenhada pelos trabalhadores dentro da própria instituição podem fazer com que essas relações de trabalho se tornem mais benéficas.…”

Resumo Os servidores do Judiciário têm sido expostos a modelos de gestão que colocam sua saúde mental em vulnerabilidade. Analisou-se a associação entre contexto de trabalho no Judiciário Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e Transtornos Mentais Comuns (TMC). Participaram 2.063 servidores, que responderam: questionário sociodemográfico e laboral, Escala de Avaliação do Contexto de Trabalho (EACT) e Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Realizaram-se análises bivariadas e regressão de Poisson. A prevalência de TMC foi de 27,2%. Constatou-se forte associação positiva entre contexto de trabalho e TMC. Servidores expostos à Organização do Trabalho (OT) e Relações Socioprofissionais (RS) graves apresentaram prevalências de TMC 3,95 vezes maior, comparados aos com OT e RS satisfatórias. Ao analisar a relação independente entre dimensões do contexto de trabalho e TMC, as associações permaneceram fortes, com prevalências até 2,5 vezes maiores, indicando que o contexto laboral do Judiciário, quando em situações críticas e/ ou graves, é potencializador de sofrimento psíquico.

Common mental disorders in nursing technicians of a university hospital

Objective: To verify the prevalence of common mental disorders and associated factors in nursing technicians. Method: Cross-sectional analytical study conducted at a university hospital. A questionnaire with sociodemographic, educational and work-related variables and the Self Reporting Questionnaire-20 were used to verify the presence of common mental disorders. Association analysis was performed using the chi-squared test, with a significance level of 5%. Results: 280 nursing technicians participated in the study. The prevalence of common mental disorders was 46.9%. The variables family income (p=0.021) and working exclusively in health area (p<0.001) were associated with the outcome. There was a higher prevalence of CMD among individuals with a family income below four minimum wages (PR=1.41) and among professionals who worked exclusively in the health area (PR=1.95). Conclusion: Approximately half of the nursing technicians of the university hospital presented common mental disorders, which were associated with economic and work-related variables.
