RESUMOEste artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa que teve por objetivos investigar a ocorrência de transtornos mentais em mulheres agricultoras familiares do município de Saudades -SC e identificar as estratégias de cuidado ofertadas a essa população. O método adotado foi quanti-qualitativo, implementado em duas fases. Na primeira fase, quantitativa, foi aplicado o questionário Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20), individualmente, por meio de visitas domiciliares a 362 mulheres agricultoras, com idades entre 21 e 59 anos, possibilitando o mapeamento da ocorrência de transtornos mentais junto às participantes. Na segunda fase, qualitativa, realizou-se entrevista em profundidade, junto a cinco mulheres com indicativo de TMC (SRQ-20 acima ou igual a 7), a fim de verificar as estratégias de cuidado em saúde mental ofertadas a esta população. Verificou-se que 21,54% das mulheres responderam ao SRQ-20 com escores acima ou igual a 7, indicando a hipótese de TCM, o que apresenta ser um indicativo moderado, considerando outras pesquisas apresentadas. Os sintomas mais recorrentes identificados, nos casos que obtiveram escores ≥7 (21,54%), foram: 91,02% das respostas (sim) ocorreram para a questão da escala "Sente-se tenso, nervoso ou preocupado?", seguido da questão "Tem dificuldades de pensar com clareza?" e da questão "você se cansa com facilidade?", com a mesma frequência (74,64 %). A questão que apresentou menor frequência (16,6%) foi "Tem tido ideia de acabar com a própria vida?". Por meio desta pesquisa, compreendeu-se que há ocorrência moderada de TCM e as principais estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelas participantes são a religiosidade, seguida pela procura do médico e pelo uso de medicamentos.
Occurrence of mental disorders in family farmers women and care strategies offered in the town of Saudades -SC, BrasilABSTRACT This paper presents the results of a research whose objective was to investigate the occurrence of mental disorders in family women farmers in the municipality of Saudades -SC and to identify the care strategies offered to this population. In the second qualitative phase, an in-depth interview was conducted with five women with a CMR indicative (SRQ-20 above or equal to 7), in order to verify the mental health care strategies offered to this population. It was verified that 21.54% of the women answered the SRQ-20 with scores above or equal to 7, indicating the hypothesis of MCT, which presents a moderate indication considering other research presented.
