Show more

“…The analyses of the agglomerates formed by the log variable of the incidence rate after Bayesian smoothing allow the disease occurrence to be studied in greater detail. However, a limitation in the present study is related to the loss of georeferencing from addresses, described in Magalhães et al 15 . The percentage of cases not located in poor areas could not be determined, but experience has shown that the vast majority of non-located cases occur in favelas.…”

“…TB cases were georeferenced by residence address using the methodology described in Magalhães et al 15 . Cases in which the residence was a prison or a hospital were excluded from the study.…”

“…The cartographic base of the addresses and the digital meshes used are available on the website of the Municipality of Recife (http://www.recife.pe.gov.br/ESIG/documentos/Informacao/InformacaoManual Arquivos.htm) and present a system of references of coordinates SIRGAS 2000/UTM zone 25S. Georeferencing consists of assigning geographic coordinates to addresses (Magalhães, Matos, & Medronho, 2014). For this, the following procedures were performed: adequacy of the MIS database; the georeferencing itself and the verification of its quality (the points identified as geometric center and approximate were manually checked); and the recovery of the initially undetected addresses (the points not found were manually entered).…”

“…Considering that TB is a disease strongly related to socioeconomic factors [13,14,15,16,17,18,19], as well as to access to health services[3, 9], it is necessary to evaluate the relationship of expanded PHC coverage in the cure of TB in the municipality.…”
