In the last two seasons it was also rated the fruit soluble solids and harvests. The conduction system influenced the productive behavior of the blackberry, and the system espalier 'T' highest yield and fruit num… Show more

“…As for the fresh mass of the fruits (Table 2), an important characteristic for their marketing in natura (Ferreira et al, 2016), only the treatment with 4 stems differed from the others, with the lowest mass, however the results found in this work, are similar to those reported by Marchi et al (2015), in Guarapuava, PR, Brazil, in which they evaluated the time and intensity of pruning in the development of blackberry cv. Xavante, and obtained an average fruit mass of 4.1 g in the 2010/201 harvest.…”

“…treatments. That is, by performing more intense pruning, the number of buds of the plant is reduced and consequently their photosynthetic area, impairing the production and storage of photoassimilates for the normal development of fruit, compromising production (Ferreira et al, 2016).…”

“…The difference observed in phenological cycles (Figure 1a) in a subtropical region may be due to factors such as the genetic characteristics of each cultivar, types of management system, and soil and climatic conditions (Ferreira et al, 2016), such as soil, temperature and photoperiod, the latter interfering directly with flowering and sprouting after pruning (Antunes et al, 2010).…”
