Дефицит нейротрофинов является одним из основных патогенетических факторов снижения пролиферации и усиления апоптоза β-клеток при диабете. Способность фактора роста нервов (NGF) поддерживать функционирование β-клеток и стимулировать секрецию инсулина позволяет предположить, что NGF может быть полезным в лечении диабета 2 типа. Однако неудовлетворительные фармакокинетические свойства нативной молекулы препятствуют ее применению. Целью данной работы стало изучение влияния оригинального димерного дипептидного миметика фактора роста нервов ГК-2 на эффекты диабетогенного токсина стрептозотоцина (СТЗ). Эксперименты проведены на 44 мышах C57Bl/6, разделенных на 4 группы: пассивный контроль (мыши, которым вводили физиологический раствор); активный контроль (СТЗ 100 мг/кг внутрибрюшинно); опытная группа 1 (ГК-2 0,5 мг/кг внутрибрюшинно в течение 14 дней до и 16 дней после СТЗ); опытная группа 2 (ГК-2 5 мг/кг per os по той же схеме). Показано, что ГК-2 ослабляет гипергликемию (максимум на 59,65 % для внутрибрюшинного введения и на 42,57 % для перорального) и уменьшение массы тела (на 7,56 % для внутрибрюшинного введения и на 6,53 % для перорального), вызванные введением СТЗ, и этот эффект проявляется как при внутрибрюшинном, так и пероральном введении; выявлено последействие ГК-2 по обоим показателям антидиабетической активности — эффект сохранялся на протяжении всего периода наблюдения (44 дня после окончания терапии).
