World-wide occurrence of diabetes mellitus and its complications in the form of neuropathic and metabolic disorders implies the necessity of development and application of the new methods for their combined treatment, such as the low-frequency transdermal electrical stimulation with the use of the OMRON Е-4 myostimulator. This technique was shown to significantly alleviate the symptoms of pain syndrome and other neuropathic manifestations. Moreover, it facilitated the reduction of body weight and visceral fat content in such patients and thereby considerably decreased the risk of development of diabetic complications.
The issue of compression ischemic syndromes, in particular, carpal tunnel syndrome, is currently extremely relevant. Prolonged compression of the nerve leads to irreversible consequences and degeneration of its fibers, followed by neurogenic muscle atrophy and permanent loss of function. Standard medical and physical therapy methods of treatment do not always achieve a positive effect. The paper considers the results of the use of phonophoresis of hydrocortisone and fermenkol in 35 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. Positive dynamics was noted in both groups, which increases the possibility of treatment tactics selection for patients of this profile.
The present study included 40 children presenting with acute hematogenic osteomyelitis and exacerbation of chronic osteomyelitis. It was shown that a course of laser therapy resulted in the positive dynamics of the inflammatory process, the improvement of blood circulation in the inflamed regions, stimulation of immunity, acceleration of the wound healing, and the reduction of the hospital stay by 3 or 4 days. Other beneficial effects of the treatment included the decreased duration of the severe and febrile conditions, alleviation of inflammation, normalization of the hematological status, and the increase of sensitivity of microflora to antibiotics.
It is known that neurotic disorders can be independent risk factors for the development of complications in patients with cardiovascular diseases. This requires the creation of new rehabilitation programs that include not only medicines but also physiotherapy. To this end, an analysis was made of the effect of complex treatment, including visual color impulse therapy, on the psychoemotional state of 80 patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertensive disease and coronary heart disease, who also have asthenic-depressive symptoms. In this case, patients in two control groups received standard drug therapy, and in the two main groups received additional color pulse therapy from the «Mellon» apparatus. Dynamics of the psychoemotional state of patients was studied with the help of a test that determines the quantitative changes in the state of health, activity and mood, as well as the stress index that characterizes the regulation of the heart rhythm under stress. Prior to the start of treatment, functional disintegration of regulatory mechanisms was characteristic for all patients, which was accompanied by psychoemotional disorders that indirectly reflected the state of highly organized nervous processes in the cerebral cortex, which altered the values of SI stress index indicators and the «well-being, activity, mood» test. The regression statistical analysis was used in this work. As a result, the indications and contraindications to the use of this method of treatment were determined. After the course of complex treatment, including drug and visual color impulse therapy, positive dynamics in the patients’ state was revealed, which indicates an increase in the functional capabilities of their body, and also, given the good tolerability of visual color impulse therapy, the feasibility of including this method in complex treatment at any stage of rehabilitation.
The results of the complex treatment of patients with generalized chronic periodontitis, including photodynamic therapy and microcurrent electrical stimulation are presented. Analysis of the immediate and long-term results showed the effectiveness of the impact of this treatment on cerebral hemodynamics and autonomic balance in these patients.
The article is devoted to the medical rehabilitation of children with neurogenic bladder dysfunction. Medical rehabilitation of children with neurogenic bladder dysfunction includes behavioral therapy, medication, biofeedback, and physical therapy. The popularity of physiotherapy methods is explained by the influence on the main links of pathogenesis, the absence of side effects and the possibility of use in young children.
The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness of complex application of laser radiation and interference currents in the medical rehabilitation of children with PDMP.
Materials and methods. Clinical observations and special studies were conducted in 40 children with hyperactive bladder aged 3 to 10 years. The main group consisted of 20 children who received laser therapy and interference currents, 20-a comparison group (without physical therapy).
Results. Positive dynamics was observed by the middle of the course of medical rehabilitation, a third of patients showed a decrease in urgency and urgent urinary incontinence, there was a tendency to normalize the number of urinations per day, by the end of the course of medical rehabilitation, the dynamics of clinical symptoms was more pronounced and reliable. The favorable influence of interference currents and laser radiation on the clinical course of neurogenic bladder dysfunction, the state of urodynamics and speed characteristics of the act of urination was revealed.
The feasibility of including interference currents and laser radiation in the medical rehabilitation of children with neurogenic bladder dysfunction is scientifically proved.
Conclusion. Medical rehabilitation of children with neurogenic bladder dysfunction with the inclusion of laser radiation and interference currents has a favorable effect on the symptoms of hyperactivity of the bladder, indicators of uroflowmetry, cystometry and helps restore the normal rhythm of urination. As a result of the research, the effectiveness of medical rehabilitation with the inclusion of laser radiation and interference currents was 85.0 %, in the comparison group only
60.0 % (p < 0.05).
