The emergence of the smart grid has put a higher management requirement of the current electric power communication network. In response to it, people must gradually realize intelligentization and upgrade of the communication management system, apart from increasing its efficiency. Geographic Information System (GIS) could well meet the requirement. Based on the GIS, this paper should adopt corresponding technical methods to design the communication management system, aiming at improving the stability of the electric power communication network.
Abstract. In this paper, we study a project assignment problem. Specifically, a set of projects, each of which needs to be finished over a project development cycle, are to be assigned to a group of identical engineers over a discrete planning horizon. The workload of the projects is different and fluctuates over their development cycles. In any period, an engineer has a maximum allowed workload. The objective of the problem is to assign the projects to engineers with the objective of balancing the total workload among the engineers; the load balance is measured by the difference between the maximum and the minimum total workload. Such a problem is new to the literature. The problem is strongly NP-hard. Therefore, we propose a two-stage heuristic approach to solve it. Extensive numerical experiments show that the proposed approach can achieve optimal or nearly optimal solutions for all test cases; such performance is much better than what can be obtained from an IP model solved with ILOG CPLEX11.
With the continuous development of network technology and the addition of network size, speed and complexity, the importance of network management is also increasing. The network management is the process to control a complex computer network so that it has the highest efficiency and productivity. According to the ability of network management systems, this process usually includes data collection, data processing automatically or manually by the manager and then submitted the data to the manager. The construction of intelligent power has increased the dependence of power on information and communication networks, promoted the real-time, security, and other requirements on electricity network.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
