Interior space modelling as part of simulation technology is crucial to support the study of interior design. Various simulation techniques have been used for spatial modelling, such as manual and digital drawing, while widely used physical interior models are so far made customized to meet a particular form of design. In other words, such space modelling is by nature fixed or not meant to be used for various needs of modelling tasks. As a result, the interior design study process can become difficult for those who are less able to make manual or digital drawings. It may have a psychological impact on the student’s engagement and motivation. This study aimed to examine the role of a previously developed interior space modelling tool in supporting the study process and student engagement. The research method used for this project is an experiment that involves 48 interior design students. The analysis of data reveals that a modelling tool has a significant effect on study engagement for the group of respondents who can only draw but are less able to use a computer to create digital simulations. Meanwhile, for those who have already been able to make a digital simulation, their engagement response to the space modelling tool is less significant.
The importance of medication quality has made many researchers and hospital management tried to research the way to increase nurses work performance. Studies had found that motivation and work attitude in healthcare are critical to boost nurses work performance. Various methods were strived to improve motivation and work attitude, one of them is by applying nature elements. Other research found that nature restores both human physical and mind. The objective of this research is to improve Emergency Unit nurse motivation and attitude by placing nature form both natural and artificial, during night shift. Motivation and attitude can be measured by mood, further, positive mood improves motivation and work attitude. The experiment was held by giving 6 nature form conditions through digital animation walkthroughs as stimuli and evaluated by mood, motivation, and attitude questionaire using 7 scales of T'Likerts. Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) is used as mood questionnaire, while motivation and attitude questionnaire adapt from nurses' duties. The research found that mood, motivation, and attitude affect each other. Every nature form in interior stimulates specific mood, motivation, and attitude responses. Besides that, artificial nature form, especially nature form on the floor, is the most preferable to improve nurse motivation and attitude.
Saline tilapia fish is a result of technology engineering technique that is tolerant with brackish waters and sea with salinity ≥ 20 ppt. The main problem in the development of saline tilapia is the availability of seeds because the resulting synthesis is still low. One effort to overcome the problem of low tilapia salinity this is by providing dissolved organic material such as glucose. Glucose plays an important role as a source of energy for animals including tilapia. The aim of this research is to determine the optimum dose of dissolved glucose to the survival and growth of salt tilapia larvae (Oreochromis niloticus). The research was conducted from March to May 2017 at Brackish Water Aquaculture (BPBAP) Takalar, South Sulawesi. The research container using 25 L plastic volume basin amounted to 15 pieces. The test animals used were 7-day saline tilapia larvae of 0.03 gram sized for 20 days. The glucose used is pure glucose in powder form. The study was designed using a complete randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and each having 3 replications. The five treatments are 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 ppm per day added to the once-daily research container that is the morning. The result of variance analysis showed that soluble glucose administration had significant effect (p <0.01) on the synthesis and growth rate of saline tilapia fish. The highest survival rates and growth rates were achieved at 100 ppm doses of 94.44% and 14.93% / day respectively, while the lowest at doses of 0 ppm were 74.81% and 11.85% / day respectively. Keywords: glucose, salin tilapia, survival, growth rate
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
