Strength and Weakness in Adolescence with Disability at Jakarta and Surakarta Education Foundation of Disability Children (YPAC). Children with disability face the barriers due to their incapacity and various obstacles from their society. How to cope with the barriers that came from themselves due to physical imperfection, emotional instability, and obstacles from the environment will affect to their mental health. The Medical assessment to find out the strengths and difficulties of teenagers are intended to take early intervention and an effort to improve the mental and personality development of teenagers with disabilities. This research was conducted to find out about the description of disabled adolescence's characteristic profile on strength and weakness that related to adolescence mentality at school for the disabled. The cross-sectional study was conducted at YPAC Jakarta and Surakarta in the period of June-October 2017. This research was conducted with 100 respondents from YPAC, 20 people from Jakarta and 80 people from Surakarta. The qualification of the respondents were adolescences with a range of age 11-18 years old, adolescents with limb and or vision disability that capable to communicate, and agree to be respondents. The study results showed that there were 27% children whose 11-12 years old, 24% whose 13-14 years old, 28% whose 15-16 years old, 21% whose 17-18 years old. The respondents were males 58% and females 42%. This research has successfully explained that Most of the difficulty level of adolescents with disabilities found in YPAC Jakarta and Surakarta were normal level (79%), and most of the level of strength were also normal level (89%). Suggestions for all parties related to disability adolescents as an effort to maintain mental health and not late to intervene.Abstrak: Kekuatan dan Kesulitan Remaja Disabilitas di Yayasan Pendidikan Anak Cacat (YPAC) Jakarta dan YPAC Surakarta. Anak-anak penyandang disabilitas menghadapi tantangan-tantangan lain akibat ketidakmampuan mereka dan berbagai rintangan yang dihadirkan oleh masyarakat mereka sendiri. Cara merespon banyaknya tantangan dari dalam diri remaja disabilitas karena ketidaksempurnaan fisik maupun ketidakstabilan emosi yang dimiliki serta rintangan yang muncul dari lingkungan akan memengaruhi kesehatan mental remaja disabilitas. Pemeriksaan kesehatan mental dengan mengetahui kekuatan dan kesulitan pada remaja ditujukan untuk mengambil tindakan intervensi dini sebagai upaya preventif maupun upaya penanganan pada perkembangan mental dan kepribadian remaja disabilitas. Introduction: Long-term COVID-19 pandemic which has existed in Indonesia since 2020 not only poses a risk to public health but also to their social conditions. Indonesia, as a country with strong social fabric within its people, has a high sense of social responsibilities in facing the pandemic. The aim of this study is to describe Indonesians’ readiness in facing long-term COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This descriptive study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 305 residents of five cities in Indonesia. They were chosen not randomized by distributing a survey invitation via WhatsApp group with the background of the general public, and health cadres. We waited until the response received reached the targeted number of respondents. The data were collected using Google Forms, and were analyzed by using a descriptive method (percentage, P-value, and odds ratio) by SPSS statistical software version 25. Results: The readiness in facing the pandemic fell into two categories: the high readiness level (77.1%) and the low readiness level (22.9%). Gender and age do not affect the level of readiness, while the level of education and employment status influenced the level of readiness. Conclusions: The majority of Indonesians have high readiness level. Public participation can decrease COVID-19 transmission rate.
Background : Along with the development of technology, increasing the industrial era in Indonesia cause a large number of companies, factories and malls are appeared to support the movement of the economy. Sales Promotion Girl (SPG) is one of the jobs that appear due to the proliferation of mall in a major city. The workers of this profession are typically women who have interesting physical character as an attempt to attract the attention of consumers. One of the performance standard is set by the company is wearing high heels and looking interesting. Methods : this study was carried out in 17 May – 1 June 2017 in PT. Matahari Department Store Solo Square by using quasi eksperimental methods with one group pre test and post test design. The number of samples are 20. Results : the results of this research are descriptive from 20 samples have already weared heel pad there is 80% of light pain scale and 20% of moderate pain scale, where before wearing heel pad there is 10% of light pain scale, 75% of moderate pain scale and 15% of severe pain scale. The research is the analysis based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained that value of wilcoxon test is 0,000 where the P < 0,05. Conclusion : from the results of the research is there is the influence of the wear of the heel pad against the pain degree of the high heels wearers.
Background: People with disabilities are those with physical or mental limitations in long term. People with disabilities have some rights they deserve such as rights to education, occupation, health, social welfare, and accessibility. Method and Subject: This research was conducted on December 2019, in Colomadu Sub District using questionnaire with cross-section design. The subject used consisted of 23 quadriplegic persons. Result: Out of 23 quadriplegic persons, the result of analysis showed significant score of 0.236 between people with disabilities and right to education, of 0.167 between people with disabilities and right to occupation, of 0.313 between people with disabilities and right to health, of 0.150 between people with disabilities and right to social welfare, and of 0.762 between people with disabilities and right to accessibility, with p > 0.05. Conclusion: The rights of people with disabilities (disability people) have not been fulfilled yet in Colomadu Sub District.
Background: To know the difference between using crutches utch and prosthesis on patient mobility after transtibial amputation, Research Design is a type of pre-experimental study with static comparison group research design. The subjects of this study were transtibial amputation patients divided into two groups. Each group consists of 15 people. Methods: The type of group in this study is a paired group in which one person gets two treatments. PT Kuspito Ortotik Prostetik Karanganyar, Time: June to October 2017. One person gets two treatments in the form of Kruk and prosthesis, prosthesis user will be tested with AMPpro test and Kruk user usage will be tested using AMPnopro, Measurements: AMPpro 20 test and AMPnopro 21 test, different test with Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: Showed an average balance in the crutches group (15,32) while the mean balance was in the prosthesis group (45,38). The result of the statistical test with man Whitney shows p-value 0,000 <0,05 so there is a difference in the effect of crutch and prosthesis on patient mobility after transtibial amputation. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there is a difference between the use of Kruk and the prosthesis of mobility, the mobility of the prosthesis user has a higher level at the level of k-4, while the Kruk level is the k-3 level.
