Waste management in Engineering Faculty of Hasanuddin University currently adopts the conventional paradigm. This is not in line with the vision of the campus as an eco-campus. One aspect to realize an eco-campus is the management of environmentally friendly and sustainable waste. The aim of this research is to identify existing conditions of waste management in case studies and to provide guidance on the application of environmentally friendly waste management based 3R concept (green waste). This research was conducted from September 2019 to April 2020 (8 months). Data collection methods were literature studies, observations and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used were literature synthesis, scoring analysis, and comparative analysis. The results showed that waste in case studies was in the moderate category with a percentage of 52.2%. The concept directives that can be applied were increasing the types of sorting and compartmenting into 4 types, collecting garbage using disaggregated facilities, procuring 3R TPS in the campus area, and increasing the participation of the academic community through waste sorting from its source.
Based on the general plan for the development of land transportation in 2015-2035, the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation has a direction for the development of urban mass public transportation in order to support movement between centers of activity and the provision of reliable and competitive transportation services. This study aims to identify the most influential factors in the consideration of determining routes and stations, determine potential tram routes, and determine the location of potential tram stations in Somba Opu Subdistrict. This research was carried out from October 2019 until April 2020, located in Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency. This research is a descriptive study, with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The analysis techniques used in this study were expert choice analysis, MAT and spatial analysis (desire line, network analyst, overlay, and grid-based. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The priority factors in determining the route are road network characteristics, community movement patterns, the distribution of activity centers, land use, and population distribution, while in determining the location of the station the priority criteria are close to the location of the generator. , location of attraction, as well as intermodal integration considerations; 2) The tram route of Somba Opu Subdistrict passes arterial and collector roads (Jl. Sultan Hasanuddin - Jl. Andi Mallombasang - Jl. Poros Malino); 3) The potential location to become a station location is the grid which has a value of 86% -100% (very potential). The tram station is located on Jl. Andi Mallombasang, Sungguminasa Village.
Aerial cable car is one of unique and efficient transportation modes that the world has today. This research aimed to explore the potential application of this mode in the urban areas of Makassar City, specifically in its city centre. It is designed to answer preliminary planning questions with regard to the best potential routes, technology, and station locations for the implementation of this mode in the near future. The research was conducted in 5 months (from April to August 2019). The data was collected through literature study and field survey including a traffic counting. The spatial analysis utilized satellite image map of Google Pro Earth, mapping, illustration and descriptive explanation. The research identified at least three trip purposes that the aerial cable car could potentially serve the city: for daily transportation, tourism, and shopping/business centres trips. It was concluded that trips to Lae-lae and Kayangan Resort Islands, the Losari City Tour, and trips from shopping mall to mall, are among potential routes that deserve for further comprehensive researches and feasibility studies. Monocable Detachable Gondola (MDG) is considered the best choice as a starting point in introducing this type of mode to the city and its people. The locational analysis based on defined criteria resulted five to nine potential station locations.
