El objetivo principal del artículo basado en la investigación de la Catedral de San José de Cúcuta, ubicada en el Norte de Santander, es identificar las características simbólicas, arquitectónicas y geométricas de la cúpula, teniendo en cuenta la memoria documental y su comparación con los datos obtenidos en sitio, de frente a favorecer la construcción de un estudio descriptivo de este templo de estilo neoclásico, hito histórico y cultural en la ciudad de Cúcuta.
The research aims to analyse the process of coverage of the railway network from England to San José de Cúcuta - Colombia, its impact as a transport system in the urban configuration. The research follows a qualitative approach from documentary analysis, which explores the historical particularities that make this process a significant event in the history of Colombia and the city of Cúcuta and quantitative by analysing mathematical models in productivity. It is concluded that the railway allowed the commercial exchange and development of the region, achieving its highest productivity in the thirties, and initiates a potential decline in the forties.
Producto de investigación, cuyo propósito es el reconocimiento de la arquitectura sagrada de la Catedral de San José, relaciona los sucesos históricos con los factores asociados a las decisiones de tipo arquitectónico que se adoptaron en este lugar a principios del siglo XX. En la metodología intervienen el imaginario urbano, los estudios descriptivos y documentales, para reflexionar sobre la memoria histórica de la Catedral y su entorno. Se pudo deducir que la tipología, además de expresar su esencia fenomenológica destinada para la celebración litúrgica, constituye una expresión de edificio cosmopolita, en su geolocalización y al proponer con su morfología, un elemento reconocido colectivamente como sagrado, que fortalece la consagración del espacio urbano de la ciudad de San Jose de Cúcuta.
Este articulo forma parte de la investigación a los egresados del Plan de estudio de arquitectura de la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander (UFPS) desde la perspectiva estadística válida para determinar la caracterización de sus egresados desde la primera cohorte en 2005 hasta la última cohorte de 2020, del mismo modo busca conocer la incursión y el impacto en el medio laboral de los mismos, el estudio se realiza mediante un análisis estadístico descriptivo abordando aspectos como las condiciones socioeconómicas, el estado laboral, la formación en posgrados, los reconocimientos que han recibido. Los datos recabados ofrecen un recurso de evaluación y retroalimentación a fin de mejorar la formación de los nuevos profesionales y plantear estrategias que les permita satisfacer las necesidades reales de medio.
Mediante un estudio de tipo descriptivo se analizan tres sistemas de recubrimiento en templos icónicos Catedral San José de Cúcuta (1889), iglesia de nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (1952) e iglesia de nuestra Señora del Carmelitas (1969), en Cúcuta-Colombia. Se determinan lasos proyectuales entre la bóveda de crucería y el perfeccionamiento de una red espacial de claves y nervios que apoya sobre ella una delgada cáscara, principio de los sistemas laminares; se determinó el interés de la modernidad en la reducción ornamental y configuración de la estructura vista en la piel del edificio, en una misma solución, explorando los lazos entre forma y estructura, para albergar el uso destinado en la misión litúrgica. Así las formas exteriores de envolventes en ladrillo y hormigón, constituyen el contramolde de la envolvente del espacio interior construido por las manos de los mamposteros y fundidores del hormigón que materializaron con precisión formas geométricas simples cargadas de simbolismo.
