We propose a new pixel design which has one slit electrode for 847 ppi resolution. The pixel design facilitates a reduction of disclination area in the pixel and reduction of color mixing. As a result, we have demonstrated a high luminance, small color shift until the 30 degrees view angle and good image quality on 5.2 inch 847 ppi panel.
In this paper, we report the novel design and fabrication of OLED (organic light‐emitting diode) Camera‐under panels (CUP) with improved transmittance and imaging quality. We utilized TFT (thin film transistor)‐outside structure and patterned cathode in the CUP region. The diffraction simulation, transmittance test, Point spreading function (PSF) test, and scene photos proved the efficiency of our solution. Remarkable enhancement of imaging performance, which was identical to that of a normal AA‐hole OLED panel, was achieved. The results confirm the effectiveness of our CUP design strategy and also the potential of our design to be commercially used in the industry.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
