The aim of this study is to explore the relationship among college students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy, career adaptability, and entrepreneurial intention. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB), this study adopted the entrepreneurial self-efficacy scale, career adaptability scale and entrepreneurial intention scale to investigate 1039 college students from a university in ShanDong province, China. The results indicated the following: (a) entrepreneurial self-efficacy of college student significantly and positively affected entrepreneurial intention; (b) entrepreneurial self-efficacy of college student significantly and positively affected career adaptability; (c) career adaptability significantly and positively affected entrepreneurial intention; and (d) career adaptability partially mediated the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intention. The results of this study can serve as a reference for universities wishing to implement career education and provide entrepreneurship guidance.
The spherulitic structures and morphologies of poly-(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) crystallized from a solution and a thin melt film were investigated in this study. The formation mechanisms of banded spherulites under different crystallization conditions are proposed. ABSTRACT:The spherulitic structure and morphology of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) thin films crystallized from the melt were observed with a polarizing optical microscope. Depending on the thickness of the PHB thin film and crystallization temperature, banded and nonbanded spherulites could form. Reducing the thin-film thickness and crystallization temperature was favorable for the formation of the banded structure. The morphology transition from banded spherulites to nonbanded spherulites was related to the ratio of the crystallization rate to the diffusion rate. The formation mechanism of the banded structure was examined with the discontinuity growth theory. A depletion zone was considered to appear periodically at the crystal growth front because of the slow diffusion rate, and this may have resulted in the banded spherulites.
The miscibility and crystallization of solution casting biodegradable poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)/poly(ethylene succinate) (PHB/PES) blends was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, rheology, and optical microscopy. The blends showed two glass transition temperatures and a depression of melting temperature of PHB with compositions in phase diagram, which indicated that the blend was partially miscible. The morphology observation supported this result. It was found that the PHB and PES can crystallize simultaneously or upon stepwise depending on the crystallization temperatures and compositions. The spherulite growth rate of PHB increased with increasing of PES content. The influence of compositions on the spherulitic growth rate for the partially miscible polymer blends was discussed.
