Particle size measured by laser diffraction under the employed conditions reflected the aerodynamic properties of the drug. Laser diffraction can be used as on-, in- and/or at-line measurements and controls for dry powder aerosol formulations.
The ProAir(®) HFA delivers a warmer, lower-impact, and longer-lasting plume compared with Ventolin(®) HFA, which may provide a more consistent, comfortable experience for patients using a pMDI. ProAir(®) HFA produces higher fine particle dose than Ventolin(®) HFA.
Laser diffraction could prove to be a reliable technique for development, evaluation and quality control of carrier-free, dry powder aerosol formulations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
