The batik industry is also affected because it involves imported raw materials, although there are some batik industries that can escape the hustle and bustle of the impact of COVID-19 and are able to experience business growth. This study will analyze the business growth of batik SMEs, especially Kauman Pekalongan batik and the factors that influence business growth are business management. The purpose of this research is on the growth conditions of the Pekalongan Batik MSME business during the Covid 19 Pandemic. This study uses a grand theory, namely the theory of finance and the theory of entrepreneurship. The results showed that there was a decrease in operating income, a sluggish batik market from both the consumer and business perspective, difficulty in distributing raw materials and rising material prices which caused several businesses to close and shift their business lines. And judging from the analysis of business growth, 47% of the business growth of Batik SMEs in Batik Pekalongan village is influenced by business management which consists of business financial management, production management, entrepreneurial characteristics and digital technology. Synthetic dyes are usually carcinogenic, therefore it is necessary to use alternative dyes to reduce the use of synthetic dyes, namely by using natural dyes. This study aims at determining the potential of Laban leaves as a natural dye in silk fabrics. Extraction was done by boiling the leaves for 1 hour. The dyeing of the mordanted cloth was done 4 times. The dyed fabrics were treated with post mordanting using alum, calcium oxide and tunjung with a concentration of 50gr/l. Fabric testing was carried out by testing the color strength and color fastness to washing with soap. The results of the color strenght test showed that the highest value was obtained by the use of tunjung with a T% value of 88.96 for very dark criteria, then followed by calcium oxide mordant with a value of 30.20 and the lowest value on the use of alum mordant with a value of 20.97 for light criteria. The color fastness test to washing generated an average value of 4 which was in the good category.
Paper waste derived from the campus environment is paper waste which is generally a waste of tasks. Through knowledge, creativity, and paper waste skills can be utilized into something useful, having high artistic value. The purpose of this research is to increase the aesthetic value of paper waste with the process of reuse as a learning medium for wig making. Through the utilization of paper waste with the reuse process is expected to make something useful and valuable art. Qualitative descriptive development research was conducted to increase the aesthetic value of paper waste as a medium of learning wig making in hairpiece courses that have art value with the reuse process. validity results by 5 experts with an average of 97% and final product assessment results by 50 students obtained an average of 87.2% based on indicators of usability, design, flexibility, beauty, and creativity expressed to increase the aesthetic value of paper waste with the process of recycling as a learning medium of wig making is very feasible.
Keywords:The analysis of the needs, practice assessment sheet.Abstract: Learning activities cannot be separated from assessment. To ensure the achievement of student competencies in carrying out practice, lecturers need to provide an assessment. Accordingly, lecturers need to use practice assessment sheet. This study aims to describe the analysis of practicum assessment sheet needs on beauty education programs at State Universities. Data obtained from questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained from the analysis of the needs of the questionnaire results submitted to lecturers supporting study programs on beauty education programs in 4 institutions showed that 80% out of the 4 tertiary institutions had used practice assessment sheets. But, the supporting facilities to develop the assessment sheet are still in small amounts (33.33%). The practice assessment sheet used so far has been tested for validity based on 13.33% field study groups. Seeing the results of the analysis of the lecturers' needs, there is a need for socialization and supporting facilities for the development of practice assessment sheets accompanied by theoretical and practical assessment rubrics so that, it can be used by lecturers in the Department of Makeup Education in State Universities.
