Pneumonia was an acute infectious disease that was still a problem in toddlers. Tegalratu Village was the highest region with Toddlers’ pneumonia in Cilegon City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between house physical conditions and indoor air pollution with pneumonia in toddlers in Tegalratu Ciwandan Village Cilegon City. This study was an observational study with cross sectional design. The sample of this studi were 90 mothers who had toddlers. Interviews and observation needed to data collection. The physical condition of the house were condition of the walls, floors, and ceiling, while the sources of indoor air pollutions were cigarette smoke, cooking fuel smoke, and mosquito repellant smoke. Data analyzed with chi-square test. The result showed that there were 10 toddlers (11,1%) with pneumonia, and the variable that were significantly related to the incidents of pneumonia in toddlers was the condition of ceiling (p=0,016<α). Puskesmas should improve coordination across programs to increase public awareness of importance of environment condition to meet the requirements for the best possible degree of health.
Background: Health promotion is an effort to distribute health messages to all levels of society. In order for the achievement of the main purpose of health promotion , media or tools are needed so health promotion becomes effective and efficient. The lack of availability of health promotion media especially in elementary schools is still low, so that it affects the low condition of student knowledge and attitudes in healthy behaviors. Purpose: This study was aimed to determine the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools (SD) in Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. Methods: This study was conducted on December 2017 to July 2018 with a total sample of 31 elementary schools. The study uses a descriptive design that is described in depth about the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools. Results: The results showed that out of 31 elementary schools located in Kramatwatu sub-district, it was found that 64.5% of elementary schools had health promotion media, 29.0% of elementary schools stated that the type of health promotion media were posters, 19.4% were available as health promotional media in book form. A total of 38.7% stated that the number of health promotion media was lacking, 25.8% of the number of health promotion media was sufficient. The health promotion media that are most often accessed by elementary school students were books (67.7%). Conclusion: the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools of Kramatwatu District is still categorized as low.
Background: Riskesdas (2018), shows that the proportion of LBW in Indonesia is 6.2% and has not yet reached the 2019 National target (6.9%). The number of LBW in Serang District Health Office (DHO) during 2018 reached 662 cases, and babies with LBW ranks first among the causes of infant death in Serang District, as many 84 cases (35%) of babies died due to LBW. Jawilan Public Health Centre ranks first (7%) and then Petir Public Health Centre as many 6% in the LBW incidence rate in Serang District. Objective: This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW).Method: This study uses a case control design. The study was conducted in March to June 2019 with a sample of 142 people consisting of 71 case samples and 71 control samples. Case samples in this study were mothers who gave birth to babies with birth weights less than 2500 mg (2.5 kg) and control samples were mothers who gave birth to babies of normal weight.Results and Discussion: The results showed that 22.5% of ANC frequencies were not good, 33.8% of upper arm circumference/LILA were not good, 41.5% of pregnancy distances were at risk and 18.3% were preeclampsia. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between ANC frequency and size of LILA with LBW (pv = 0.003, pv = 0.008), there was no relationship between pregnancy distance, preeclampsia with LBW (pv = 0.089, pv = 0.129).Conclusion: there was no correlation between pregnancy distance, preeclampsia with LBW. Laporan MDGS tahun 2008 menyebutkan bahwa jumlah perkawinan dini di Indonesia mencapai 34,5%. Menurut catatan KPAI jumlah perkawinan tercatat di Indonesia setiap tahun mencapai 2 sampai 2,5 juta pasang. Kekurangtahuan tentang seks dengan kehidupan rumah tangga serta adanya adat istiadat yang merasa malu kawin tua (perawan tua) menyebabkan meningkatnya perkawinan dan kehamilan usia remaja. Desa Semendaran merupakan desa di Kecamatan Jombang Kota Cilegon dengan angka usia pernikahan dini tertinggi dengan jumlah 35 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan pernikahan dini di Desa Semendaran Kecamatan Jombang Kota Cilegon tahun 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang yang diambil secara proporsif simpel random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 41 % responden melakukan pernikahan dini, 51 % mempunyai tingkat pengetahuan kurang baik, 59 % mempunyai sikap yang positif, 85 % mempunyai tingkat pendidikan yang rendah, 51 % mendapat dukungan keluarga, 84 % responden tidak bekerja. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, pendidikan, dukungan keluarga, usia, pekerjaan dengan pernikahan dini. Perlu adanya upaya pendampingan dan pendewasaan usia pernikahan melalui kegiatan-kegiatan kelompok dan masyarakat secara simultan dan berkelanjutan.
