High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is the ability to connect, manipulate, and change the knowledge and experience that is owned critically and creatively in determining decisions to solve problems in new situations. To include HOTS questions in a learning process is an obstacle for Madrasah teachers, including teachers of PC. LP. Maarif NU Lamongan. This community service aimed at improving the pedagogical competence of mathematics teachers of PC. LP. Maarif NU Lamongan. Community-Based Research (CBR) was employed through workshop and training administered by the Mathematics Study Program of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya in designing and completing high order thinking questions followed by assistance. The results indicated that the ability of Madrasah teachers to solve HOTS questions as well as its implementation in classroom teaching and learning activities improved significantly.
Sunspot is an area on photosphere layer which is dark-colored. Sunspot is very important to be researched because sunspot is affected by sunspot numbers, which present the level of solar activity. This research was conducted to make prediction on sunspot numbers using Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) algorithm. The work principle of GRU is similar to Long short-term Memory (LSTM) method: the information from the previous memory is processed through two gates, that is update gate and reset gate, then the output generated will be input for the next process. The purpose of predicting sunspot numbers was to find out the information of sunspot numbers in the future, so that if there is a significant increase in sunspot numbers, it can inform other physical consequences that may be caused. The data used was the data of monthly sunspot numbers obtained from SILSO website. The data division and parameters used were based on the results of the trials resulted in the smallest MAPE value. The smallest MAPE value obtained from the prediction was 7.171% with 70% training data, 30% testing data, 150 hidden layer, 32 batch size, 100 learning rate drop.
Laju pertumbuhan penduduk di Kota Pasuruan pada tahun 2019 sebesar 0.68% dengan jumlah penduduk 200.422 jiwa. Tingginya pertumbuhan penduduk dapat mempengaruhi kepadatan penduduk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi pertumbuhan penduduk Kota Pasuruan menggunakan metode ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average). Metode ARIMA adalah cara prediksi data deret waktu yang memiliki tiga model, yaitu AR (Autoregressive), MA (Moving Average), ARMA (Autoregressive Moving Average). Metode ini memiliki parameter (p,d,q) dapat diketahuidari plot ACF dan PACF untuk memastikan model yang akan digunakan untuk prediksi. Dalam penelitian ini data yang digunakan merupakan data penduduk Kota Pasuruan tahun 1983 sampai tahun 2019 sejumlah 37 data. Dari data tersebut didapatkan ARIMA model (1,1,1) dengan jumlah penduduk Kota Pasuruan pada tahun 2020 adalah 203.221 jiwa, didapatkan nilai MSE 10542507.06 dan MAPE 1.52%.
Nowadays, the improvement in resources, especially among women, is considered. One of the efforts to empower women in the village can be done through the assistance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This research-based community service aims to assist the community, especially women (housewives) in Pojok Village of Magetan Regency, in developing home businesses. This community service is carried out by using ABCD approach, which is an approach to understanding and internalizing assets, potential, strength, and utilization independently and optimally. The results of the community service carried out by researchers have positive impact to the community and it fosters a high desire and enthusiasm to make changes for the better in the development of marketing businesses, both during the mentoring process and post-mentoring so that the economy in Pojok Village, Magetan Regency can increase
