Salah satu tatalaksana non-farmakoterapi yang saat ini digunakan untuk penderita kanker dalam mengelola masalah psikologis yang dialami adalah dengan proses regulasi emosi. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah mereview literature tentang efektifitas regulasi emosi terhadap masalah psikologis penderita kanker. Pencarian literatur review ini menggunakan database PubMed dan Goggle Scholar dengan menggunakan keywords: “Emotion Regulation AND Patient AND Cancer”. Hasil pencarian artikel menemukan sebanyak 24.414 artikel dalam jurnal internasional dalam rentang tahun 2016-2018. Artikel tersebut diseleksi dan yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi adalah sebanyak 10 artikel. Hasil dari 10  jurnal tersebut, 7 jurnal didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat tekanan psikologis pada pasien kanker meliputi ketidakberdayaan, emosi negatif, denial, penyesuaian diri, kecemasan, depresi, kecemasan, gangguan pola tidur, dan ketakutan dalam kekambuhan penyakit khususnya untuk pasien yang sudah selesai melakukan prosedur pengobatan, serta hasil intervensi regulasi emosi pada pasien kanker ada hubungan yang signifikan antara emosi regulasi diri dengan peningkatan kualitas hidup pada pasien kanker. Literatur review ini menunjukkan bahwa metode ini mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam tatalaksana non-farmakologi. Terapi regulasi emosi ini menunjukkan sebagai salah satu metode yang efektif dalam penatalaksaan emosi pada pasien kanker. Tinjauan literatur review ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa regulasi emosi merupakan langkah strategis dalam upaya penanggulangan masalah emosi atau masalah psikologi pada pasien kanker.

According to Indonesia Basic Health Research 2018, the prevalence of mental emotional disorders which is indicated by depression and anxiety symptoms reached 9.8% of the total households in Indonesia. Screening of mental emotional disorders in a population at risk needs to be done. Therefore, people with mental emotional disorders can be handled promptly and appropriately. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of mental emotional disorders in risk community through screening in the community as well as to find the related factors. This research was a descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional method which was conducted from January to April 2019. The subjects of this study were 104 people taken from 4 NCD-integrated health care post (Posbindu PTM), in Kasihan 2 Community Health Centre, Bantul District, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Inclusion criteria were 18-59 years old, cooperative, and willing to participate in the study. Exclusion criteria included having a serious physical illness, disability, comorbidity with substance abuse, or other serious mental disorders. The screening applied a selfreporting questionnaire (SRQ) 20. The data was processed using a computer program, SPSS. Descriptive data were presented categorically using the distribution frequency of subjects' characteristics and percentages of mental emotional disorders. Bivariate analysis using the chi-square test was used to evaluate the correlation among characteristic factors of the subjects and mental emotional disorders. Most subjects were in the age of 41-50, female, unemployed, and high school graduate. A total of 29 people (27.9%) of the subjects had mental emotional disorders, 45 people (43.3%) were easily feeling tired, and 35 people (33.7%) feel worried, tense, and anxious. There was one person who had a suicide idea. The factor associated with mental emotional disorders was the level of education (pvalue = 0.05). Mental emotional disorders were experienced by 27.9% of the subjects in this study with the most symptom was easily feeling tired. Screening of mental health disorders should be performed periodically in the community and primary care.

Latar belakang: Kesehatan jiwa merupakan keadaan dimana seseorang dapat berkembang secara fisik, mental, spiritual dan sosial. Penyakit yang sering menganggu kesehatan jiwa terutama seseorang yang telah memasuki usia lanjut adalah depresi. Penanganan pencegahan dini dalam meminimalisir terjadinya depresi pada lanjut usia dapat dilakukan dengan cara melakukan tindakan skrining depresi. Skrining memiliki keuntungan dalam penggunaannya yang sederhana, mudah dan relatif murah bertujuan untuk mendeteksi secara dini suatu penyakit pada seseorang sehingga selanjutnya dapat dilakukan diagnosis lengkap dan dapat segera diberikan pengobatan secara dini. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi pengaruh pelatihan skrining depresi pada lansia terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan kepercayaan diri tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan tindakan skrining depresi pada lansia. Metode: Desain penelitian adalah quasy experimental dengan one group pretest and posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 22 orang. Intervensi dilakukan oleh tenaga ahli dengan memberikan materi pelatihan skrining depresi pada lansia. Pengetahuan dan kepercayaan diri dinilai sebelum dan setelah intervensi dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang telah divalidasi. Analisis statistik dengan menggunakan program komputer. Analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Paired sample t-test. Hasil: Ada perbedaan signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan responden antara pretest dan posttest dengan nilai p-value adalah 0,000 (<0,05). Ada perbedaan signifikan pada tingkat kepercayaan diri responden antara pretest dan posttest dengan nilai p-value adalah 0,000 (<0,05). Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan dan kepercayaan diri responden setelah diberikan pelatihan skrining depresi pada lansia.

Background: Information gaps hinder the management of psychotic patients. Incorporating mental health services into primary care might solve the problem. Health workers can be trained to provide psycho-education for caregivers of psychotic patients.Methods: This study was a two stage experimental study. In the first stage, 43 health workers were trained to provide a psycho-education for caregivers of psychotic patients. Next, 10 health workers were selected to provide the psycho-education. Participants were family caregivers of psychotic patients (n = 113) randomly assigned to control and intervention groups. Pre- and post-tests were conducted to assess the results. Statistical analyses were conducted using paired t tests and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).Results: The intervention group scored higher for Knowledge of Psychosis at post-test. Both groups showed significant increase of knowledge (paired t tests: P<0.001; P<0.001; respectively) and the increases were not significantly different between the groups (ANCOVA: P=0.057).Conclusion: Psycho-education was applicable in primary care settings. Training primary care health workers is a feasible method to address information gaps in the management of mental health problems.
