Phytoremediation is a method of using plants to remove pollutants from contaminated soil or waters. Several species of aquatic plants have been used in reducing pollutants in the waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of three species of aquatic plants as phytoremediators to reduce levels of COD and BOD of liquid waste, the effect of tofu liquid waste on the fresh weight of the species, and the chlorophyll of the plants content after treatment. Data obtained through experimental methods through a quantitative approach with non-factorial Complete Randomized Design. Data analysis used Analysis of Variance. The results showed that three types of water plants were effectively used as phytoremediator in tofu waste water with the highest percentage of BOD and COD reduction obtained in a combination of Water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.) and Yellow velvetleaf (Limnocharis flava L.) which was 99.42%. Besides, liquid tofu waste is effective in an increase in the species chlorophyll content. In brief, the aquatic plant species are effective to reduce COD and BOD levels and to increase of chlorophyll content and fresh weight of the species.
The problems faced by the students are that many teachers use traditional teaching aids, and this causes the ability of the students to comprehend the reading skill to be weak and they cannot understand the read texts. As for the objectives of the research, to know the process of teaching the skill of reading before applying the means of the text of the story in the private Islamic middle school, Nour Al-Rashad Al-Aziziya, and to know the extent of the effectiveness of using the means of the text of the story to improve the skill of reading. The research method used by the researcher was the procedural approach. To collect data, the researcher observed and provided the pre and posttest, and the researcher continued the two cycles. As for the results of the research, the process of teaching and learning the skill of reading was in agreement with the steps of applying the means of the story text and its steps. The teacher chooses the subject of the educational materials such as the reading texts, who may cut it by breaking the papers as the total number of students, and the use of the means of the text of the story in the process of teaching and learning the skill of reading is effective based on The result of the average for students from the second round obtains the criteria for the results of the completion limit, which means 86 in the percentage of 100% for the excellent.
Mangrove forests function as breeding, spawning, and nursery ground for various commercial such as mud crabs. This study aims to analyze the habitat characteristics of mud crabs in the mangrove ecosystem as a breeding location on the southwest coast of Aceh Province. This research was conducted in the mangrove ecosystem in the districts of Aceh Jaya, West Aceh, and Southwest Aceh.The station for sampling and data measurement was determined by the purposive method. The characteristics of habitat including pH, temperature, and salinity, were analyzed by Completely Randomized Design using ANOVA. Sedimentation, dominant flora and fauna species was presented descriptively. The results showed that the pH values in the three districts ranged from 7.22 to 7.25 and did not show a significant difference (P>0.05). The temperature values ranged from 25 to 35°C, showing a significant difference (P<0.05) and the salinity ranged from 11.33‰ to 19.50‰ showing a significant difference (P<0.05). Sedimentation such as mud, sand, litter, and former shellfish. The main flora species were Avicennia marina (Forsk.) Vierh, Rhizopora apiculata B, Rhizopora mucronata L, Nypah fructican W, Soneratia caseolaris L, and Pandanus tectorius Parkinson ex Zucc, whereas the fauna species are Scylla serrate (Forskål), Faunus ater L, Uca Sp, Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg). It can be concluded that the mangrove ecosystems in the southwest coast area are very potential to support the mud crab breeding process.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran keterampilan membaca sebelum menerapkan metode teks cerita di MAS Nur al-Rashad al-Aziziyah Sigli, dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan metode teks cerita untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca di MAS Nur al-Rashad al-Aziziyah Sigli. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti melakukan Observasi, membuat pre-test dan post-test untuk dua siklus. Adapun hasil penelitiannya adalah proses belajar mengajar keterampilan membaca pada MAS Nur al-Rashad al-Aziziyah Sigli sesuai dengan langkah-langkah penerapan Metode Teks Cerita, langkah-langkahnya yaitu Guru memilih mata pelajaran dari materi pendidikan, seperti membaca teks yang dapat dipotong dengan kertas sesuai jumlah siswa. Penggunaan metode teks cerita dalam proses belajar mengajar keterampilan membaca itu efektif. Hal ini berdasarkan niai rat-rata bertambah pada putaran kedua yang mencapai nilai batas ketuntasan, yaitu 86 % untuk tingkat keunggulan.
Low activity, student creativity in the learning process can result in the teaching and learning process being less than optimal so that the material presented is incomplete according to the expected completeness criteria. From the results of observations and discussions with the history subject teacher, information is obtained that the learning system has not fully involved students as the subject of learning consequently the final result to be achieved, namely individual and classical learning completeness with KKM (minimum completeness criteria) has not been achieved. One of the efforts made to improve the process and student learning outcomes, a learning method is used that makes it easier for students to compile and understand information or the content of the lesson text in increasing understanding of social studies subject matter so that learning outcomes are expected to increase, through the use of the SQ3R method. Based on the background of the problem, the formulation of the problem in this study is: "How are the students' learning outcomes increased through the SQ3R method in history learning for students of XII SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu Indragiri Hilir? "The purpose of this study is to determine the activities of teachers and students as well as the improvement of student learning outcomes in history subjects through the SQ3R method for class XI SMAN 1 Kateman Indragiri Hilir. The conclusion of this study is that the student learning outcomes, before CAR the average daily test was 64.3, after the CAR based on the daily test cycle I increased to 81.8 and was included in the good category. In the second cycle of daily tests, it increased again to 92.8 and was included in the very good category. Thus, the use of the SQ3R method can improve student learning outcomes in history learning for class XII at SMAN 1 Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency
