Os trabalhos com grupos comunitários priorizam o desenvolvimento dos sujeitos e das localidades, ao contrário do que ocorre nas organizações privadas, cuja finalidade é estritamente econômica. Desse modo, a gestão tradicional apresenta-se insuficiente para o gerenciamento de ações nesse contexto, dando ensejo ao surgimento da gestão social como um processo dialógico e participativo de se trabalhar com grupos. Propondo demonstrar possibilidades metodológicas compatíveis com a Gestão Social, este trabalho apresenta, através do relato de experiência, o método desenvolvido pelo Projeto Gestão Social nas Escolas, Promovendo o Protagonismo Juvenil nas Escolas Estaduais de Juazeiro do Norte-CE, o qual tem como objetivo desenvolver empreendimentos juvenis a partir de ações pautadas na gestão social, buscando fomentar nos jovens a autonomia, autogestão, cooperativismo e protagonismo, bem como facilitar os processos grupais e individuais, o estabelecimento de estratégias para execução de ações coletivas. As ações até agora realizadas têm apontado o alcance desses objetivos, apresentando como resultado o amadurecimento dos grupos envolvidos, de modo que, com base nessa experiência, defende-se a validade da metodologia utilizada para a execução de projetos que têm por objetivo a Gestão Social.
O Laboratório Interdisciplinar de Estudos em Gestão Social (LIEGS), criado em 2006, vem se firmando como grupo que produz cientificamente na área. Comemorando uma década de sua existência, propomos uma reflexão sistemática do material científico produzido. Para tanto, elaboramos levantamento detalhado dos textos produzidos por membros do grupo sobre temáticas pertinentes às linhas de pesquisa e selecionamos critérios de análise alinhados ao estudo de Pagotto e Borges-Andrade (2010). Os dados apontaram predominância dos textos produzidos em parceria (80,4%) sobretudo aquelas com três autores. A maior parte da produção do LIEGS é assinada por pesquisadores da UFCA. Nas publicações com dois ou três autores observou-se que a parceria mais comum se estabeleceu entre pesquisadores da UFCA e UFBA. Quanto ao tipo de produção, publicações em anais de eventos são as mais comuns (44,2%) e quanto a natureza, as pesquisas com desenho (45,9%) superam trabalhos de outra natureza. Estudos de análise sistemática da produção proporcionam o desenvolvimento científico da área, pois apresentam limitações e lacunas da produção, além de apontar uma agenda de pesquisa. Desta forma observou-se alguns aspectos que precisam ser considerados no planejamento de publicações vindouras: ampliar colaborações de autorias com pesquisadores de outras IES e ampliar publicações em periódicos, são alguns exemplos.
Esta pesquisa objetivou compreender aspectos da comunicação, religiosidade e cultura popular, a partir das Renovações ao Sagrado Coração de Jesus e Imaculado Coração de Maria, em Juazeiro do Norte, município localizado na Região do Cariri Cearense. Para esta compreensão, utilizou-se como principal instrumento metodológico, a pesquisa participante, concretizada entre julho de 2017 e julho de 2018. Os resultados foram avaliados sob a perspectiva qualitativa, a partir da triangulação de dados. Constatou-se que, a devoção, é uma expressão religiosa híbrida que, reflete aspectos culturais e religiosos locais, perpetuados por meio da comunicação da fé. Por fim, salienta-se a relevância de estudos que contemplem características religiosas e culturais, a partir do campo da comunicação, reforçando a compreensão da comunicação como, aspecto intrínseco as dinâmicas socioculturais.
