Os contos de fadas são remanescentes dos antigos contadores de histórias que narravam para nobres e plebeus. Esses contos permaneceram em nossa literatura, sendo modificados à medida que os anos passavam. Um exemplo é a história da “Bela Adormecida” que possui três versões distintas escritas por Giambattista Basile, Charles Perrault e os Irmãos Grimm. Contudo, sua essência sempre foi mantida. O conto foi adaptado para o cinema em 1959, pela Disney, focando na maldição lançada na princesa e na luta entre o bem e o mal, representados pelo príncipe e pela bruxa, e em 2014, no filme “Malévola”, no qual o foco é a “vilã”, uma fada que passou da luz às trevas devido a uma profunda desilusão. Esta personagem é o foco de nossa discussão, refletindo sobre seu desenvolvimento a partir do mito da Bela Adormecida.
O cinema, com sua mistura de técnicas, permite ao espectador viajar através de uma tela, enquanto permanece sentado confortavelmente em uma poltrona. Na literatura é o livro quem chama a atenção com o seu jogo de palavras e técnicas de narração, que captam a atenção do leitor e o instigam a continuar até a última página. O escritor espanhol Carlos Ruiz Zafón adota, na composição de suas obras, técnicas empregadas na escrita de roteiros cinematográficos. Nas obras do autor temos a possibilidade de construir imagens a partir da leitura, os detalhes permitem que a imaginação desenhe aquilo que está caracterizado em palavras.
As obras de Antoni Gaudí possuem características únicas, com elementos que unem o sacro e o gótico. O escritor Carlos Ruiz Zafón se conecta à cidade de Barcelona e Gaudí pela maneira como condiciona as ações dos personagens em torno da arquitetura, dos monumentos, da história e da cultura da cidade. Esse artigo pretende analisar o modo como a cidade de Barcelona, retratada por Gaudí através de suas obras arquitetônicas, é transmidiada na tetralogia El Cementerio de los Libros Olvidados, de Carlos Ruiz Zafón, por meio da conjunção da história dos personagens com a paisagem, obras e prédios históricos da cidade.
O Peru, durante o conflito armado interno (1980-2000), viveu a intensidade de uma guerra sem precedentes entre o Estado e o grupo revolucionário Sendero Luminoso. As interpretações a respeito do horror sofrido pela população têm gerado uma verdadeira batalha de memórias por parte de diversos setores oficiais e também por áreas do conhecimento, incluindo a literatura. Contudo, nesses olhares, nem sempre aparece a experiência de quem, de fato, viveu a situação. Em 2005, Edilberto Jiménez publicou o livro Chungui: violencia y trazos de memoria. Na obra, o antropólogo acompanha relatos dos sobreviventes da região de Chungui, uma das mais afetadas pelo conflito, e cria imagens nas quais busca representar as situações narradas. Este artigo discute o entrelaçamento das narrativas trazidas por esses narradores, as imagens de Jiménez, os discursos oficiais e literárias. Nosso objetivo é refletir sobre o quanto palavras e imagens podem ou não expressar o vivido, construindo experiências e subjetividades. Ao mesmo tempo, destacamos o papel das vozes periféricas ante o peso da história oficial e/ou oficializada.
