El propósito de la presente investigación es correlacionar las habilidades blandas de los estudiantes con la gestión de la práctica docente en la gerencia educativa aplicado a una institución educativa superior. Se considera que las habilidades blandas potencia las capacidades del estudiante y mejora la calidad de la gerencia educativa. La investigación es de tipo cuantitativa, transversal, no probabilística e intencional, correlacional. Se parte de un constructo donde la variable independiente X1 habilidades blandas y la variable dependiente la gestión de la práctica docente. El instrumento de medición fue validado por consenso de expertos, la consistencia interna del cuestionario se hizo con el coeficiente del Alpha de Cronbach para la escala general es de 0,777. Los resultados correlacionales muestran que la variable habilidades blandas se correlacionan en forma positiva y alta con la gestión de la práctica docente (0,551**) y es estadísticamente significativa menor al p-valor de 0.05. Se concluye que la gerencia educativa debe considerar en sus planes, programas y proyectos la asociación entre las habilidades blandas y la gestión de la práctica docente para tener mejores y mayores resultados en el aseguramiento de la calidad de la educación superior.
