El sistema de neuronas espejo (SNE) es el circuito de células nerviosas que se activan tanto al ejecutar una acción como al observar que esa misma acción es realizada por otro sujeto. En humanos, este sistema neuronal se encuentra estrechamente relacionado con la comprensión de acciones motoras e imitación, así como con capacidades de alto nivel, como el desarrollo del lenguaje verbal, la teoría de la mente (ToM) y la manifestación de cualidades como la empatía emocional, factores que son alterados en sujetos con diagnóstico de trastorno del espectro autista (TEA), lo que se evidencia principalmente en afectaciones en el marco de la interacción social. Diversos estudios realizados con electroencefalografía (EEG) han permitido reconocer alteraciones en la activación del SNE en personas con TEA en tareas donde se presentan condiciones de observación de acciones motoras, lo cual se evidencia en la ausencia de la desincronización del ritmo mu del electroencefalograma. Este artículo presenta una revisión de las investigaciones que se han desarrollado en los temas de neuronas espejo, trastorno del espectro autista, electroencefalografía y su relación.
El conflicto armado es uno de los principales dolores de la realidad colombiana. La pandemia por COVID-19 ha generado nuevas afectaciones que han provocado sufrimiento entre las víctimas. La logoterapia, propuesta por Viktor Frankl, es una psicoterapia centrada en el sentido de la vida. El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar el estado de los recursos noológicos, el propósito vital y la realización de valores en cuatro sobrevivientes del conflicto armado colombiano de la ciudad de Manizales, Caldas, apelando al despliegue de la dimensión espiritual por medio de la psicoterapia con orientación logoterapéutica. Se realizó un estudio de caso múltiple de tipo mixto, de corte fenomenológico. La evaluación se basó en pruebas psicodiagnósticas y logoterapéuticas, así como en la autobiografía, la observación y la entrevista. La intervención incluyó técnicas logoterapéuticas, narrativas y herramientas de expresión artística. No se observó un alto estrés percibido entre los evaluados debido a la pandemia por COVID-19. No se identificó falta de sentido y metas en la vida. Los valores éticos fueron los más importantes para los participantes. Todos demostraron despliegue de sus recursos noológicos. La familia y la naturaleza fueron los valores de experiencia más significativos. Los valores sagrados demostraron expresarse más allá de la religiosidad. Este estudio apoya la postura logoterapéutica que afirma que es posible descubrir el sentido de la vida a pesar del sufrimiento.
