Klement z Alexandrie je znám českému čtenáři zejména jako autor trojice děl: Protrepticus (Pobídka Řekům), Paedagogus (Vychovatel) a Stromata (Koberce). 1 Tato díla bývají na základě výkladu o trojí funkci Slova v Paed. I,1,3-3,3 v některých tradičních učebnicích patrologie uváděna jako autorem zamýšlená trilogie. 2 Poměrně známý je dále Klementův krátký a teologicky cenný spis Quis dives salvetur? (Který boháč bude spasen?). 3 Pod Klementovým jménem se však dochovalo také několik kratších textů, které se v současném klementovském bádání těší rovněž značné pozornosti. Jsou to tzv. Stromata VIII, Excerpta ex Theodoto (Výpisky z Theodota), Eclogae propheticae (Eklogy) a zlomky spisu Hypotyposes. * Článek vznikl jako výstup projektu GAČR 18-09922S "Biblical Exegesis of the Other Clement of Alexandria".

Vít HušekOtázka, zda se člověk může zcela vyvarovat hříchu, či zda mu to jeho současná situace neumožňuje, sehrála důležitou roli v pelagiánském sporu. V této studii budeme sledovat téma "bezhříšnosti" u Ambrosiastera, jehož dílo vzniklo několik desetiletí před vypuknutím této kontroverze. Starší badatelé si kladli otázku, zda lze tohoto autora považovat za předchůdce pelagiánů, či spíše jejich odpůrců.1 Tato studie vychází z jiné perspektivy a klade především otázku, v jakém kontextu autor téma "bezhříšnosti" uvádí a jaký zájem sleduje.V Ambrosiasterových komentářích k pavlovským listům se opakovaně nachází formulace, že není možné, aby člověk nehřešil, 2 samotné téma však není podrobněji rozvinuto.
