Os estudos sobre o comportamento fluvial de bacias hidrográficas são de extrema importância. A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a influência dos condicionantes geoambientais no comportamento hidrodinâmico e sedimentológico da bacia hidrográfica do córrego Padre Inácio, sudoeste de Mato Grosso. Para caracterização dos condicionantes ambientais e uso e ocupação, utilizaram-se dados do Projeto Radambrasil, Incra, Seplan e do IBGE e imagens de satélite Landsat processadas no sofwares ArcGis 10.2. As atividades de campo foram destinadas para monitorar e coletar sedimentos, usando trena para medir largura e profundidade do canal e o molinete para aferir a velocidade. Em laboratório, realizou-se análise granulométrica (pipetagem e peneiramento) e o método de evaporação. Litologicamente, a bacia é constituída por Aluviões Atuais, Formação Araras, Formação Diamantino, Formação Pantanal e Formação Raizama, em três unidades geomorfológicas (Província Serrana, Depressão e as Planícies e Pantanais). Foram encontradas oito classes de solos (Argissolo Vermelho Amarelo Distrófico e Eutrófico; Gleissolo Háplico Eutrófico; Plintossolo; Neossolo Litólico Eutrófico; Neossolo Quartzarênico Distrófico; Planossolo Háplico Distrófico). Nessa bacia, há quatro padrões de canais: retilíneos, irregulares, entrelaçado e o meandrante. Nos sedimentos de fundo, predominou areia fina em todas as seções; a vazão variou entre 0,06 a 19,47 m3/s e a descarga sólida variou entre 0,48 a 100, 93 t/dia. Os resultados da pesquisa poderão subsidiar o planejamento adequado para a bacia.
