Introduction: Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) has been used for many years to assess left ventricular systolic function. Over time, patients may have LVEF measurements performed with the use of different imaging modalities.Ejection fraction measurements obtained with both the Teichholz and Simpson's methods are directly comparable for evaluation of ejection fraction. This study is done to compare Teichholz method to simpson's method in patients with global hypokinesia of left ventricle. Methods: Prospective cross sectional study was done in 150 patients who underwent echocardiography at Chettinad Super Speciality hospital. Using conventional 2D echocardiography and Doppler Echocardiography left ventricular ejection fraction was assessed in various views (Apical four chamber, Apical two chambers and parasternal long axis) using VIVID S5 and Esaote. From the total subjects, 105 patients were male and 45 were females. In this study, we compare Teichholz method to Simpson's method in patients with global hypokinesia of left ventricle. Results: Out 150
Introduction:The aim of the study is to analyze the correlation between speckle tracking echocardiography and coronary angiography in patients with angina pectorisSpeckle tracking echocardiography is an advanced technique used to assess regional wall motion abnormalities and LV function in patient with coronary artery disease. Methods: 2D speckle tracking was measured from three standard views (Apical four chamber, two chamber and three chamber views). CAG was done for these patients and their angiographic findings were correlated with speckle tracking echo abnormalities. Assessment of regional wall motion abnormalities and LV dysfunction by using Global Longitudinal strain echocardiography in patients with angina pectoris prior to CAG subjects facilitates to early diagnosis and treatment.Patients with angina pectoris might have reduced GLS, reduced EF by strain imaging using speckle tracking but in 2D echocardiography it showed preserved LV function.Result:A strong correlation between speckle tracking echocardiography and coronary artery disease in patients with angina pectoris was observed .Patients with angina pectoris that had coronary artery disease have significantly decreased Global longitudinal strain values. Conclusion: Therefore it reveals that strain Chollalingam et al (2020): Correlation between speckling tracking ECG and CAG in angina pectoris
Introduction: Analysis of coronary Angiographic profile in positive Exercise treadmill test in patients with diabetes mellitus.Cardiovascular diseases is the most leading cause of death and disability among the diabetic patients. Diabetes people have a high prevalence for atherosclerosis. This type of diabetes related atherosclerosis isbeing more progressive. After acute coronary syndrome and Myocardial infarction, diabetic patients had a high morbidity and mortality. Exercise treadmill test would benefit in early detection of coronary artery disease or try to prevent fatal myocardial infarction. It helps in evaluation of known coronary heart diseases and in initial
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
