This study aims to produce appropriate interactive multimedia for elementary school students and determine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia to improve understanding of civic concepts and learning motivation of elementary school students. This study applies the research and development steps of the Borg and Gall model. The subjects in this study were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection in the initial study was carried out through interviews, observations and questionnaires. Product validation was carried out by material experts and media experts, as well as teacher and student responses. Data analysis used independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test with prerequisite tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests, and continued with the MANOVA test with multivariate normality test prerequisites and covariance variance homogeneity test, with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that interactive multimedia was feasible to use, based on the results of validation by material and media experts as well as the results of teacher and student response questionnaires. Interactive multimedia is effective in increasing the understanding of civic concepts and learning motivation of elementary school students. Keywords: Interactive multimedia, motivation, understanding civic concepts.
Learning activities carried out online have several drawbacks. In online learning activities, teachers experience problems carrying out learning activities. These obstacles include the lack of appropriate media to be used in learning activities. The problems that occur indicate that in learning activities students have difficulty in understanding learning materials and learning motivation is still low. Therefore, in learning activities, teachers must prepare quality learning. One of the efforts that can be done to overcome these problems is through the use of appropriate learning media. So that it can improve the process and better learning outcomes. This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach. The purpose of this research is to develop learning technology in the form of interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning. The steps used in this research and development is the ADDIE development model. The research data was obtained through a media validation sheet instrument by an expert. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively descriptively. The results of the media feasibility test based on the validation results obtained a value of 80%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning is feasible to be used in learning activities. The results of this study imply that the use of interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning plays an important role in the effectiveness of learning activities.
The purpose of descriptive research is to know the tendency of student learning outcomes on V class thematic learning that is taught using project based learning model and inquiry model, comparative to know the difference of student learning outcomes on thematic learning between taught using project based learning and inquiry model. Type of research used is quasi experiment. Techniques of collecting data using tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis test (homogeneity test and normality test) and hypothesis test using t test. This research was done in SD N Rejowinangun 1 with sample of class VB and VC with total 54 students. The result of descriptive research shows that (1) the tendency of student learning outcomes in V class thematic learning taught using project based learning model is high, while the inquiry model is low. (2) there is a very significant difference of thematic learning result among students by using project based learning model and inquiry model = 6.134 with p = 0.000, p value = 0,00 <0.05. It can be concluded that by looking at the average of learning outcomes, the project based learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes compared to the inquiry model.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
