This research was conducted to identify the land use on the upstream part of Air Dingin Watershed in Koto Tangah Sub-district, Padang City based on the level of erosion and conservation directives. The method used to determine the level of erosion is determined based on Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) formula and conservation directives refers to the modification by Kumajas(1992). The results showed very mild erosion is 5.93 tons/ha/year with an area of 58.61 ha, mild erosion is 43.9 tons/ha/year with an area of 24.49 ha, moderate erosion is 181.64 tons/ha/year with an area of 3.91 ha, and heavy erosion is 74.91 tons/ha/year with broad 4.33 ha. While conservation directives on very mild erosion were left in a natural state, mild erosion is performed with a bench terracing, moderate erosion is being done by crop rotation with a terrace based on a width (mulsa utilization), and heavy erosion is done with a bench porch (cultivating with human labour). Keywords: Erosion, Conservation, Watershed, Upstream Part of Air Dingin, Padang City
ABSTRACT The purpose of this research are (1) describe the quality parameters of settlement, (2) analyze the distribution of quality of settlements, (3) test the accuracy of interpretation Quickbird. Methods used for the quality of settlements is scoring and overlay. Accuracy of interpretation used confusion matrix method. Based on research result show that (1) the quality parameter of the settlements is the density of the settlements has a medium quality of 120 Ha, the pattern of the building layout has a bad quality of 182 Ha, tree protective settlement has a bad quality of 233 Ha, the road width has bad quality the extent of 207 Ha, the condition of residential road has good quality which is 204 Ha, and the residential location variable has medium quality which is 91 Ha. (2) the distribution of settlement quality in the subdistric Mandiangin Koto Selayan for the medium quality of settlements are having an area of 125 Ha, the quality of bad settlements has an area of 118 Ha. The medium quality of the settlements is the most in the village Kubu Gulai Bancah while the bad quality is the most in the village Campago Guguak Bulek. (3) test image accuracy using confution matrix produce accuracy of image that is 94,73%.
Lake Maninjau is a lake formed by volcanic activity. Many human activities occur on the catchment area, but also in exploited waters. This study aims to mapping the depth of the waters in the Lake Maninjau and assess the effect of field sample distribution on the quality results of the image transformation. The data used are satellite imagery Sentinel 2A, results of point survey. The analysis technique uses the normalized difference water index algorithm, sun glint, empirical bathymetry method and linear regression. The result of the research which is has found that variations of distribution into the dispersion of the recording process of the depth of the object represented by cell. The depth of the water from the results of this transformation refers to the measurement sample in the field survey. The maximum depth of the waters is in the range of 107m. Shallow waters are predominantly distributed in the northern region which is the out late of Lake Maninjau. The southern area forms a deep basin. The distribution of this sample is in the form of an empirical bathymetry map and the relationship between the results of field measurements and the transformation with a regression value of 0.769, this indicates the consideration of total and distribution of survey sample is influence on quality of the results of the transformation.
