High-J c YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−x (YBCO) films on metal tapes have been successfully fabricated by the metalorganic deposition method using trifluoroacetates (TFA-MOD method) with optimal firing conditions. In the firing process, the key factors by which to obtain high-J c YBCO films on metal tapes are to prevent the films from deterioration by water vapour and to avoid BaCeO 3 creation between YBCO and the CeO 2 buffer layer. With the optimal conditions, we have successfully formed a 0.24 µm thick YBCO film on a metal tape, having a J c of 2.5 MA cm −2 (77 K, 0 T).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
