Resumo O futebol é o esporte mais popular do Brasil e um dos grandes responsáveis pela construção identitária e cultural dos brasileiros. A paixão pelo futebol é passada através das gerações e conquista cada vez mais adeptos, que encontraram nas torcidas organizadas um grupo em que possam compartilhar objetivos, costumes e ideais. Este trabalho teve como objetivo compreender como essas organizações atuam na construção da identidade pessoal, social e coletiva de jovens torcedores do Clube Atlético Mineiro, residentes de Belo Horizonte e região metropolitana. Por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, foi realizado um estudo de caso na torcida organizada Fúria Alvinegra. Foram feitas entrevistas semiestruturadas que, posteriormente, foram analisadas por meio da Análise de Discurso. Os participantes foram selecionados pelo critério de acessibilidade e bola de neve. De forma complementar, foram também examinadas fotografias. Os resultados apontaram para a grande influência da torcida organizada na construção identitária dos entrevistados, devido à dedicação à torcida, às amizades construídas, ao sentimento de utilidade que carregam por serem os responsáveis pela festa no estádio e ao desejo de quebrar os paradigmas que comumente cercam as torcidas organizadas.
