A malária é uma doença infecciosa febril aguda, causada por protozoários transmitidos pela fêmea infectada do mosquito Anopheles. A cura é possível se a doença for tratada em tempo oportuno e de forma adequada. Contudo, a malária pode evoluir para forma grave e para óbito. Objetivo da pesquisa foi verificar a incidência da malária no município de Rondolândia – MT no período de 2012 a 2017. Materiais e Método - tipo transversal, documental, descritivo e quantitativa, as informações foram obtidas a partir da análise de dados epidemiológicos fornecidos pela vigilância em saúde do município de Rondolândia – MT, que foram atendidos na unidade básica de saúde Hueverton Bruno da Silva Rabelo que foram tabuladas através de um questionário realizados pelos próprios pesquisadores contendo 4 perguntas básicas de acordo com a ficha de notificação compulsória do SIVEP-Malária. Resultados – Foram notificados 177 pacientes de acordo com o período informado (2012-2017), sendo 14% dos casos positivos e 86% negativo, 100% dos casos acometeram o sexo masculino, 56% informaram que a atividade exercida (ocupação) é a pecuária. Conclusão - A doença ocasionada pelo Plasmodium vivax foi a de maior incidência no município de Rondolândia-MT , e apresentou os sintomas clássicos como hipertermia, tremores e cefaleia. Essa incidência com o passar dos anos pode haver um aumento, se não tiver avanço em tratamento ou de prevalência contra o vetor , sendo assim, ocasionando maiores números de vítimas.
Devido à falta de informação e vários estudos terem identificado conceitos errôneos sobre o Papiloma Vírus Humanos (HPV), podendo assim ocasionar comportamentos negligentes e de risco para a saúde da população. O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar o conhecimento de jovens a respeito do assunto, pois o HPV é a doença sexualmente transmissível mais frequente no mundo e entre jovens sexualmente ativos. 50% dos casos novos acontecem nos 3 primeiros anos do inicio da atividade sexual. E por esse vírus ser a principal alteração para a causa do Câncer de Colo de Útero (CCU), nosso artigo tem a finalidade de avaliar o nível de conhecimento de algumas acadêmicas sobre esse assunto. Estudo com 42 participantes, todas maiores de 18 anos e acadêmicas do 1º período de Enfermagem, Medicina e Farmácia. Foi possível identificar um conhecimento leigo das entrevistadas sobre o assunto, a falta de informação provavelmente é o principal motivo do índice de HPV e câncer de colo uterino serem tão altos, devendo assim haver um maior investimento na educação dos jovens com relação a promoção da saúde e prevenções de Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST), principalmente aquelas causadas pelo Papilomavirus Humano, ressaltando também a importância da realização do exame Papanicolau regularmente, que é recomendado realizar uma vez por ano, após dois anos consecutivos com resultado negativos, a cada três anos.
American tegumentary leishmaniasis (ACL) is an infectious, non-contagious disease that causes ulcers on the skin and mucous membranes. The disease is caused by protozoa of the genus Leishmania. The objective of the research was to verify the incidence of American cutaneous leishmaniasis in the municipality of Rondolândia -MT from 2010 to 2018. The methodology and of the transversal, documental, descriptive and quantitative type, the information will be obtained from the analysis of epidemiological data provided by health surveillance of the municipality of Rondolândia -MT, who were attended at the Hueverton basic health unit Bruno da Silva Rabelo, who will be separated through a questionnaire carried out by the researchers themselves containing 4 basic questions based on the SINAN compulsory notification form. It was verified that 40 cases of American tegumentary leishmaniasis were reported in the municipality of Rondolândia-MT between 2010 and 2018, 90.0% being male and 10.0% female in the age group with the highest incidence 18 to 59 years of age to 85.0% of the reports and 45.0% of the patients were brown, 95.0% of the patients presented skin lesions and were classified as new cases. The patients' diagnoses were confirmed by 85.0% laboratory, 90.0% of the patients were treated with pentavalent antimonial and 90.0% of the patients were from the rural area of the municipality of Rondolândia-MT. It is concluded that the incidence of cases of American tegumentary Leishmaniasis in the municipality of Rondolândia-MT has been increasing over the years, that is, approximately 1 case per 100 inhabitants, thus, the annual average of these cases corresponding to 5 cases of the annual disease. An urgent action is required by the health surveillance department of the municipality to carry out disease control, since if it continues without prevention in the municipality, this annual index may suffer a great increase over the years.
Cancer in the elderly is not just worrying because it is cancer, when there is the development of cancer at an advanced age, other factors end up being taken into account, so that everything is a risk. The objective of the study is to evaluate the role of the health professional in the chemotherapy treatment of elderly patients. The methodology used was the bibliographic review, evaluating texts related to the present subject. In the elderly, the art of persuasion is essential, considering that, often, the elderly, upon discovering that they have cancer, end up refusing to undergo treatment because they think it is not worth it, since they have lived for a long time. So health professionals such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, psychologists and among other professionals who should try to influence the change of patient opinion in addition to being prepared to support everyone around. The nurse, being the professional with the longest contact time with the patient, must be attentive to every detail, since several complications, due to age, can be recurrent. During chemotherapy, the already fragile health of the elderly tends to get worse, making the entire recovery process difficult. Thus, it is concluded that the health professional Teles et al.
