Devido à falta de informação e vários estudos terem identificado conceitos errôneos sobre o Papiloma Vírus Humanos (HPV), podendo assim ocasionar comportamentos negligentes e de risco para a saúde da população. O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar o conhecimento de jovens a respeito do assunto, pois o HPV é a doença sexualmente transmissível mais frequente no mundo e entre jovens sexualmente ativos. 50% dos casos novos acontecem nos 3 primeiros anos do inicio da atividade sexual. E por esse vírus ser a principal alteração para a causa do Câncer de Colo de Útero (CCU), nosso artigo tem a finalidade de avaliar o nível de conhecimento de algumas acadêmicas sobre esse assunto. Estudo com 42 participantes, todas maiores de 18 anos e acadêmicas do 1º período de Enfermagem, Medicina e Farmácia. Foi possível identificar um conhecimento leigo das entrevistadas sobre o assunto, a falta de informação provavelmente é o principal motivo do índice de HPV e câncer de colo uterino serem tão altos, devendo assim haver um maior investimento na educação dos jovens com relação a promoção da saúde e prevenções de Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST), principalmente aquelas causadas pelo Papilomavirus Humano, ressaltando também a importância da realização do exame Papanicolau regularmente, que é recomendado realizar uma vez por ano, após dois anos consecutivos com resultado negativos, a cada três anos.
A toxoplasmose é uma zoonose causada pelo Toxoplasma gondii e adquire especial relevância quando atinge a gestante, visto o elevado risco de acometimento fetal. A infecção pelo Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) apresenta duas fases: a inicial, também chamada fase aguda e sistêmica, marcada pela proliferação de trofozoítos, os quais, vinculados pelo sangue, atingem vários órgãos. A seguir, vem a fase crônica, caracterizada pela presença de formas císticas (resistência) em tecidos como o muscular e cerebral. Objetivo da pesquisa e avaliar a incidência de toxoplasmose na gestação de um município do interior de Rondônia. Tendo assim, por visão do enfermeiro ao atender a gestante durante a consulta de pré-natal, levantar informações acerca das condições sócio econômicas e sócio demográfica para que seja avaliado desde o início os riscos. A metodologia utilizada na pesquisa foi um formulário desenvolvido pelo próprio pesquisador para a coleta dos dados, contento 16 perguntas, baseados no formulário e ficha de notificação/ investigação da doença. Trata –se de uma pesquisa documental, transversal, descritiva com abordagens quantitativas que avaliará dados secundários, sendo assim, dispensado o uso do termo de consentimento livre esclarecido. Obteve-se o resultado de 30,0% do perfil sócio demográficos das gestantes com idade 15 a 20 anos, 60,0% cor branca, 73,33% pertencentes a zona urbana do município e 13,33% dos casos notificados pertencentes do bairro teixerão. Conclui-se que enfermeiro via estratégia saúde da família pode contribuir e muito, junto às comunidades as quais atuam, promovendo ações de prevenção primária, como educação sanitária, higiene e outras, uma maneira de agregar parceria acadêmica, tais como saúde na escola, saúde nas comunidades entre outras.
