Introducción: La pandemia de COVID-19 produjo una crisis sanitaria afectando las coberturas de vacunación de los países. Objetivo: Describir la cobertura de vacunación de los biológicos trazadores durante el periodo prepandémico (2015- 2019) y pandémico (2020-2021) en Paraguay. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo observacional de corte transverso, que comprendió a niños de 0 a 5 años de edad, de las 18 Regiones Sanitarias del País. Se analizaron las coberturas de vacunación del Programa Ampliado de Inmunización, periodo prepandémico (2015-2019) y pandémico (2020-201). Se incluyeron los biológicos trazadores: BCG, DPT1, DPT3, IPV1 y bOPV3, SPR1, SPR2 y vacuna antiamarílica (AA), el cálculo de cobertura de vacunación a nivel país se realizó por medio del análisis del reporte electrónico semanal de dosis de vacunas administradas por Región Sanitaria. Se estableció la comparación de las coberturas de vacunación por biológico trazador, por periodos y rango de edad. Resultados: Durante la pandemia se constató un descenso de cobertura de vacunación de los biológicos trazadores, para BCG: 4 % (2020), 15% (2021);DPT1: 5 % (2020), 13 % (2021); DPT3: 9 % (2020), 22 %(2021); IPV1: 5 % (2020),16 % (2021); bOPV3: 7% (2020),19 % (2021); SPR1: 9 %, SPR2: 13 % (2020),SPR1:17%, SPR2:16 % (2021) y AA: 7% (2020), 15% (2021).Conclusión: Durante la pandemia de Covid-19 disminuyeron las coberturas de vacunación de todos los biológicos trazadores, similar descenso se constató en otros países de América, existe el riesgo de aparición de brotes de enfermedades prevenibles por vacunación por el acúmulo de susceptibles. Conflicto de interés: los autores declaran no poseer conflicto de interés, se aclara que ninguno trabaja para laboratorios fabricantes de vacunas. En esta ponencia se revisan Ias principales corrientes de pensamiento que en los últimos veinte años han ido surgiendo en torna a la educación que, al interior de las sociedades nacionales. deben recibir y protagonizar Ias generaciones jóvenes de los pueblos indígenas de América. Estas corrientes de pensamiento han sido expuestas por estudiosos, mayormente de la cultura y lenguas vernáculas, vinculados de distinto modo al sistema regular de educación, y por dirigentes de organizaciones indígenas. Explicita o implícitamente estas corrientes incluyen concepciones acerca de los pueblos indígenas: definiciones de sus propias participaciones en el proceso; justificaciones de las proposiciones que exponen; dificultades encontradas en el proceso de aplicar los programas propuestos: evoluciones y proyecciones que este tipo de educación étnicamente diferenciada supone.
En el segundo número de 2007, CUHSO ofrece un conjunto de artículos dedicados a temas propios de la discusión científico-social actual. Entre ellos se incluyen reflexiones desde la filosofía intercultural y las políticas de reconocimiento de la diversidad cultural o multiculturalismo, discusiones en torno al lugar de la tecnología en contextos de diversidad, revisiones de relatos míticos proporcionados por la literatura histórica y etnológica, y un análisis de la construcción de los imaginarios de la violencia a través del cine.En un primer grupo de trabajos se encuentran aquellos que proceden desde la reflexión filosófica de la cultura. El primer artículo pertenece al destacado filósofo intercultural Raul Fornet -Betancourt quien, desde la crítica intercultural a la ciencia moderna, promueve la reflexión sobre las contribuciones de la ciencia contemporánea a lo que denomina "un mundo sostenible". Con la confianza en la búsqueda constante de la humanidad por nuevas respuestas y caminos alternativos, el autor discute la triple indigencia que impediría cumplir con avances en la restitución de los vínculos entre naturaleza, ciencia y religión: la indigencia del pensar perplejo o aturdido; la indigencia del pensar desde la comodidad, y la indigencia ético-espiritual que afecta al actuar. Siguiendo con un estilo revisionista y crítico, Xabier Etxeberria aporta a este número con su artículo denominado "Diversidad cultural y tecnología", en el cual discute el lugar de la tecnología en la cultura, específicamente en el marco de las relaciones entre grupos de origen y arraigo cultural distinto. Para el autor, la diversidad cultural se evidencia en la materialización de los niveles instrumentales, institucionales y ético-simbólicos, presentes en cada cultura. Estas dimensiones estructurales de las culturas constituyen, para Etxeberria, elementos claves en la configuración de la identidad cultural, desde una perspectiva epistemológica marcada por el dinamismo y la interacción. Desde esta perspectiva, la tecnología -y lo tecnológico-constituiría una categoría transversal a los tres niveles señalados, con impactos en la definición de las culturas en sí mismas y en su relación con las demás. En un artículo de reflexión en torno a la obra de Habermas, Luiz Bernardo Leite aborda los aspectos centrales de la comprensión del multiculturalismo y la política de la diferencia.En el marco general del debate filosófico de la cultura, el autor construye un artículo en que aproxima y somete a discusión los planteamientos habermasianos con los aportes de Taylor en el campo de la ciudadanía, la inclusión, los derechos culturales y la construcción de comunidades políticas.Siempre en el plano analítico, pero desde una tradición ensayística en torno a la producción cinematográfica, Mateus Mora nos ofrece un artículo derivado de la reflexión cinematográfica crítica a partir del filme Canaguaro (1981) del cineasta chileno Dunav Kuzmanich.
