A formação de profissionais de saúde, capazes de responder às demandas da coletividade, tem sido motivo de intensos debates, especialmente nas duas últimas décadas. Uma das questões centrais, neste contexto, é a crescente demanda por recursos humanos habilitados a atuar em situações onde a pobreza e a desigualdade são fatores determinantes e/ou agravantes dos processos de adoecimento. Com efeito, discutir a necessidade de mudanças na formação laboral em saúde, à luz dos princípios do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), é o objetivo do presente artigo.
Objective To describe the development and validation of a workshop protocol for the implementation of the Dietary Guidelines for the Brazilian Population in primary healthcare units. Methods This descriptive study was developed in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and it involved 20-25 professionals in the experimentation phase and 12 experts in the content validity phase. The workshop protocol was developed according to three theoretical references: Dietary Guidelines, Interprofessional Collaborative Practice and Critical Reflexive Methodology. The protocol consisted of four 4-hour modules, 16 activities in 16 hours. The activities matrix was composed of three axes: (a) organizational strategies, (b) dietary guideline comprehension and (c) dietary guideline implementation. For the validity analysis, the expert panel assessed clarity, relevance and theoretical representativeness. Content validity index was calculated, and adequate activities scored >0.80. The proportion of experts who recognized the presence of the theoretical framework in the activities was calculated. Results All 16 proposed activities obtained a score greater than the established cut-off point, both for clarity and relevance. For theoretical representativeness analysis, the dietary guidelines reached higher scores on the (b) and (c) axes of the protocol and was less recognized on the (a) axis, whose highest score was for the Critical Reflexive Methodology. Interprofessional Collaborative Practice presented a higher score on the (c) axis and a lower one on the (b) axis. Conclusion The protocol was considered appropriate for its purpose and with potential application in the different scenarios of primary health care in Brazil.
OBJETIVO: Identificar as vantagens do aleitamento materno e as causas de desmame precoce segundo a percepção de mães e profissionais do Programa de Saúde da Família (PSF) do município de Teixeiras, em Minas Gerais. MÉTODOS: Estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa, cujos dados foram obtidos por meio de dois questionários semi-estruturados direcionados aos 36 profissionais de saúde do PSF e às 137 mães de bebês com até 24 meses de idade, cadastradas no programa. A análise dos dados foi realizada pelo programa Epi-Info 6.04. RESULTADOS: Dentre os entrevistados, 38,3% das mães e 48,5% dos profissionais de Saúde consideraram como principais causas finais para a interrupção da amamentação questões relacionadas à quantidade de leite e à estética, representadas pelas construções sociais: "leite fraco", "leite secou" e "leite insuficiente" e "as mamas caem com a amamentação". Entretanto, houve divergência de relatos, com predominância de questões estéticas entre os profissionais de saúde e de questões relacionadas à produção de leite entre as mães. Quanto às vantagens da amamentação, a questão da imunização da criança foi a mais citada pelos dois grupos. CONCLUSÕES: A percepção de mães e profissionais sobre a amamentação mostrou-se polarizada em dois aspectos importantes. Por um lado, houve concordância quanto aos benefícios do aleitamento materno, com vantagens relacionadas à saúde e ao bem-estar da criança. Por outro, observou-se um distanciamento entre o olhar do profissional de saúde e o relato das mães em relação às causas do desmame precoce. Essa divergência precisa ser trabalhada a fim de promover a amamentação de forma mais efetiva.

In this case, approachment of problems related to food and nutrition is part of nutritionist's work. The aim of this study is to identify manners of inserting nutritionists in primary health care in Viçosa (MG) microregional. It treats about a case explorative study in which were used quantity and quality techniques. In a complementary manner, semi-structured surveys, interviews and focus groups were applied to nutritionists (n=16) who worked in health's primary care establishment. Key-informants were interviewed and some municipal documents were analyzed. Results point to a mostly female group with high level in education.
