Ancak sosyal geçerlik bulgularına göre katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğu bu dersi aldıkları için memnun olduklarını, dersin bilgi gereksinimlerini karşıladığını, bu dersi daha önce almayan öğretmen adaylarına da önerdikleri, dersin bundan sonraki yaşamlarına katkı sağladığına inandıklarını belirttikleri görülmüştür Anahtar Kelimeler: Öğretmen eğitimi, engellilere yönelik tutum, özel eğitim THE EFFECT OF SPECIAL EDUCATION UNDERGRADUATE COURSE TO THE TEACHER CANDIDATES' KNOWLEDGE LEVEL AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE DISABILITY ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine teacher candidate's knowledge levels and attitudes towards disability after special education undergraduate course which is 2 credits and taught in different branches of education faculties. According to research findings, there was a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores in the information test of the teacher candidates. Despite the increased level of knowledge of teacher candidates about special education and disabilities. it seems that no significant change has taken place in the attitudes towards disabled people. However, according to the findings of social validity, the majority of the participants are satisfied that they have taken this lesson, that they meet the information requirements, they also offer it to candidate teachers who have not taken this course before and that they believe that the lesson contributes to their future lives.Key Words: Teacher education, attitudes towards disabilities, special education * Bu çalışma IX.
As a result of the nature and outcomes of classroom education, questions concerning what constitutes successful teaching persist. This study intends to characterize, from the perspective of primary school teacher candidates, the practices of primary school teachers in terms of effective instruction in inclusive classrooms. Observations of nonparticipants were used to collect qualitative data for this study. The research study group consists of the final-year primary school teaching students and the teachers at the schools where these students do their internships. Students' observations yielded qualitative data that was examined using content analysis. The study revealed that classroom teachers are deficient in their use of teaching tactics, particularly in adjusting instruction, classroom management, and behavior management. The acquired results were reviewed within the context of the issues encountered by classroom teachers in terms of successful teaching in inclusive classrooms and the suitability of undergraduate programs that prepare teachers for general education.
