The phase behavior of some key supercritically extractive systems are examined, particularly those exhibiting (L1-L2) behavior at lower temperatures . Systems exhibiting such behavior are significant when the objective is to develop separation processes falling between vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid extraction, or supercritical extraction applications.Phase phenomena common to the broad range of such behavior presently under study are discussed (Figs. 14-16).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
