Phase behavior of supercritically extractive systems showing three phase liquid-liquid vapor equilibria at lower temperatures.

Abstract: The phase behavior of some key supercritically extractive systems are examined, particularly those exhibiting (L1-L2) behavior at lower temperatures . Systems exhibiting such behavior are significant when the objective is to develop separation processes falling between vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid extraction, or supercritical extraction applications.Phase phenomena common to the broad range of such behavior presently under study are discussed (Figs. 14-16).
