This research aimed at analyzing the influence of 'Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning' model assisted by realia media, in which it was to improve the scientific literacy and critical thinking skill of primary school students, especially for the material of energy. This quasi-experiment research used single factor independent groups design. The research sample of this research were fourth grade students of SD Inpres Oeba 2 Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province, of which students were in the academic year of 2019/2020. The technique of sample collection was carried out purposive sampling for 2 classes. The IVA class was used as the experimental class (POGIL model assisted by the realia media), in which it consisted of 30 students and the IVB class was used as the control class (expository learning) that consisted of 28 students. The learning was carried out in four meetings. The data of scientific literacy and the results test of critical thinking were collected by means of objective test on the energy material. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was used to analyze the data using significance level of 0.05. The results indicate that (1) There is a significant difference between the students' scientific literacy who gain the POGIL learning assisted by the realia media and the students' scientific literacy who get the expository learning; and (2) There is a significant difference between the critical thinking of students who get POGIL learning assisted by realia media and the students who get the expository learning. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the scientific literacy and the students' critical thinking taught by the POGIL learning that assisted by realia media to the students who use expository learning. Since there is a significant difference, it means that the POGIL learning assisted by realia media has an influence on the students' scientific literacy and critical thinking.
Kegiatan penelitian ini menggambarkan peningkatan kecakapan literasi sosial peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif picture and picture pada peserta didik kelas IV SDN Ende 1. Jenis penelitian PTK, dengan desain mengikuti model Mc Taggart dan Kemmis. Hasil analisis menunjukan model pembelajaran kooperatif picture and picture mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan literasi sosial peserta didik, dibuktikan dengan hasil pengamatan siswa pada tahap 1 berjumlah 68% masuk kedalam kriteria valid, sedangkan skor kelas hasil pengamatan siswa pada tahap II berjumlah 88% kriteria sangat valid. Hasil tes tahap I siswa mencapai skor 60 pada kategori valid, sedangkan hasil tes pada tahap II siswa mencapai skor 86,55% masuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Simpulan yang dihasilkan pada penelitian adalah dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif picture and picture memberikan akibat positif terhadap kemampuan literasi sosial anak didik yang ditunjukkan pada peningakatan keberhasilan tes hasil belajar pada siklus II.
The aim of this study is to improve students' critical thinking skills through a problem based learning model in class IV SDN Ende 1. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research consisting of several interrelated cycles and the model chosen in this study is a Kemis and Mc Tagart model which consists of several stages namely planning, action, observation and reflection, where actions and observations are carried out together. The subjects of this study were 21 students in class IV SDN Ende 1. Based on the results of data analysis in classroom action research shows that the learning feasibility by applying the learning model Problem Based Learning has increased namely 81.5% in the first cycle and 94% in the second cycle, therefore it can be said that the learning process has been carried out very well and in accordance with the reference in the lesson plan that has been made. While the results of observations of student activities during learning by applying model of problem based learning have increased, which is proved by the increase in the average score of student learning activities in the first cycle by 55% and the second cycle by 87%. This improvement shows that during the learning process students were actively involved in solving problems. The results of the students’ critical thinking ability test of the first cycle can be seen that, there are 9 students or 43% who reach the KKM standard, while 12 students or 57% do not reach the value of 70 in accordance with the minimum completeness criteria set by the school. While the second cycle is known that as many as 21 students (100%) have succeeded and reached the indicator of critical thinking. The highest score obtained by student is 90 and the lowest score is 70 with an average value of 80% in the critical category. Therefore, the implementation of research by applying the problem based learning model ends in the second cycle . So, through research that has been done, by applying the Problem Based Learning model it is proven that it can improve the critical thinking skills of class IV students whose critical thinking test results are complete or meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan menggunakan media kartu suku kata kelas 2 SD Inpres Kampung Baru Merauke. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bersiklus melalui empat tahap yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa dengan menggunakan media kartu suku kata siklus I pertemuan I sebesar 2.45, pertemuan II 2.54. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa pertemuan pertama 2.52 dan pertemuan kedua 2.54 dengan kategori cukup aktif. Hasil nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca permulaan siklus I sebesar 64.063 dengan kategori cukup. Keaktifan guru siklus II pertemuan I sebesar 3.65, pertemuan II 3.75 kategori sangat baik. Aktivitas siswa pertemuan I 3.55, pertemuan kedua 3.65 kategori baik. Sedangkan hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata siklus II 75.39 kategori baik. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media kartu suku kata dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 2 SD Inpres Kampung Baru Merauke.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA pada peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran discovery kelas IV SD Inpres Watumoto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari beberapa siklus yang saling berkaitan, dan model yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah model Kemis dan Mc Tagart yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap yakni perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Dimana tindakan dan pengamatan dilaksanakan secara bersama. Apabila siklus pertama belum mencapai tujuan yang ditargetkan maka dilanjutkan dengan siklus kedua yaitu perbaikan rencana, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Watumoto. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian adalah tes dan non tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk memperoleh data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes prestasi belajar IPA. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dalam penelitian tindakan kelas bahwa hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran discovery dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar peserta didik, hal ini dilihat dari hasil observasi aktivitas peserta didik siklus I mencapai rata-rata 72,38 dan siklus ke II dengan nilai rata-rata 83,69. Sedangkan test prestasi belajar peserta didik siklus I dengan presentase ketuntasan 60% dan siklus ke II 100% dengan catatan tuntas secara klasikal. Nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh peserta didik adalah 100 dan nilai terendah 70 dengan nilai rata-rata 84,61%. Oleh sebab itu, pelaksanaan penelitian dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran discovery diakhiri pada siklus II. Jadi, melalui penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan menerapkannya metode pembelajaran discovery, terbukti dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas IV yang hasil tes prestasi belajar tuntas atau memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM).
