Community service aims to provide not only knowledge but also the readiness to face the TOEFL exam required as a condition of graduation for students of Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya. Community service is carried on in a university environment in six meetings for three weeks, the target communities are communities such as students of Muhammadiyah University. The method used in this service is to provide training to students. Cost of service activities is entirely sourced from Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya from APBU Year 2015. After the implementation of English training activities, the students have sufficient readiness to take the TOEFL test became a graduation requirement for students of Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya .
All children can think. However, some of them have difficulties in optimizing their thinking functions on account of their level of intelligence is below of average. This study aims to describe the cognitive aspects possessed by children with intellectual barriers. It was a qualitative method, and the subjects were three people who belong to the second grade of elementary school. Results of this study show deficiencies in the ability to remember lessons at school. The level of below average intelligence is one of the causes the teachings given by the teacher is equivalent to lessons for first-grade students in elementary school. Even the equivalent of students in kindergarten. However, subjects can carry out other activities.
This research was conducted at State Senior High Schools in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, the purpose of this research is to know whether there is any significant relationship between Headmasters� Leadership Style toward the school effectiveness at State Senior high Schools in Palangka Raya simultaneously. This research was designed by using the correlation quantitative approach through survey method. The target population is all teachers at State Senior High Schools in Palangka Raya, which amount to 163 teachers. The total number of research sample was 115 teachers. The sample was taken by using randomized proportional sampling technique. The result of this research conclude that there was a significant relationship between Headmasters� Leadership Style with the School Effectiveness, represented by the linear regression Y= a + bX = 23,21 + 0,77X and correlation coefficient ry = 0.963 which is significant at a = 0,05. This result of this study is expected to be useful for improving the school effectiveness in achieving its vision and mission of the objective of an effective and efficient school. The director behavior leadership of school can empower the teachers to implement the process of learning a good, soft, and production, and management to implement the appropriate principles of leadership with the level of maturity of teachers and others school employees.
This study aims to develop an affective evaluation instrument for junior high school students. The research was conducted from November to December 2014 on all of the public and private junior high school in Palangka Raya City. The population of this study was all students in second grade of state and private junior high school in Palangka Raya city spread over 10 (ten) state and private junior high school. Samples were taken by purposive sampling , that is by taking into several considerations of school quality (good, moderate, or less), the type of school (public and private) so it could described a variety of populations . In this study, each category is taken 2 (two) for each public and private schools. So that there are 6 (six) schools as the research sample. In this study are drawn 100 students as the subject of test instruments The instrument tried out was questionnaire by using Likert scale models with 5 (five) options. Try out done twice in difference time in two week. After taken try out of the tests twice it showed that, from 40 items of questionnaire there are 25 valid item of questionnaire and 15 items didn�t valid with the average price r = 0,4. While the reliability test also has taken to the valid items which got r11 at current prices amounted to 0.9089
This study aims to: (1) Describe the science learning activities of the fifth grade students of Palangkaraya SDN-3 in the 2016/2017 Academic Year on the application of the Word Square model Assisted by Media Flip Sheets, (2) Improve science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN-3 Palangka 2016/2017 Academic Year after the application of the Word Square model Assisted by Flip Sheet Media. The type of research used by researchers is Class Action Research (PTK) with research subjects of all fifth-grade students in Palangka Elementary School-3 totaling 32 students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and tests. Data analysis using qualitative, quantitative data analysis and Mixed Methods. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Activity of fifth grade students of Palangka Elementary School-3 in the 2016/2017 school year in science learning after applying the Word Square learning model Assisted by the Flip Sheet Media Board to be very good, because students are active, enthusiastic, listen to explanations teacher and enthusiastic in following the learning process. The results of the observations of teacher activities on teaching and learning activities carried out by observer I and observer II during the learning process of science in the first cycle average aspects of teacher activity 3.9 in the outstanding category and the universal element of students is 3.67 in the group very good. (2) There is an increase in science learning outcomes by applying the Word Square learning model Assisted Media Flip Sheet Board in class V science subjects at Palangka Elementary School-3 in the academic year 2016/2017. This is indicated by the learning outcomes seen through the class average in the first cycle which is equal to 84.22 and the completeness percentage of students in classical is 100%, from the predetermined provisions namely for KKM of 65 and completeness criteria in traditional 85%. With this, it can be concluded that there is an increase in science learning outcomes after applying the Word Square learning model assisted by the Flip Sheet Media Board.
