The distribution and abundance of polyprenols (pol) and dolichols (dol) in the leaves and roots of fourteen coastal plants from North Sumatra, Indonesia were analysed using two-dimensional thin layer chromatography. In the leaves, with respect to the distribution of pol and dol were detected and categorized into three-types. In type-I, the predominance of dol over pol, was observed in Barringtonia asiatica, Calophyllum inophyllum, Pandanus odoratissimus, and Stachytarpheta jamaicensis. In type-II, the presence of both pol and dol, was observed in Casuarina equisetifolia, Melastoma candidum, Morinda citrifolia, Scyphiphora hydrophyllacea, Sesuvium portulacastrum and Terminalia catappa. In type-III, the predominance of pol over dol, was observed in Acacia auriculiformis, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Ricinus communis, and Pongamia pinnata. However, in the roots, a type-I distribution was observed in eleven species, while three species, A. auriculiformis, M. candidum, and M. citrifolia, corresponded to a type-II distribution instead of type-III. The diversity of polyisoprenoid composition in the leaves was noted, whereas 79% of root tissues indicated that dol occur more abundantly than pol. The range of the contents of polysioprenoid was 12-300 mg/g dw. The present study indicated that pol and dol could be useful in the classification of mangroves and other coastal forests and in phylogenetic studies. The diversity and presence of polyisoprenoids in coastal plants suggested that plant polyisoprenoids are chemotaxonomically important.
Assessment and technology are two components that are very important in education. Assessment is the core of education which provides teachers lots information from their students and technology helps to achieve the learning goal more easily. Teachers are able to take the advantages of the integration of technology and assessment to get really detail information of students test to create a good teaching process. However, there are not many teachers who really consider about assessment and the washback effect on students’ learning. Thus, this study aimed to know the washback effect of Quizizz assessment platform on students’ learning. To investigate the issue, the researcher used questionnaire, observation and in-depth interview. The data which obtained would be analyzed qualitatively. The result of the study shows that students were motivated and they wanted to learn more after doing several gamified test with Quizizz. This research is use qualitative descriptive approach. The purpose of this research is to describe how the planning and the implementation of charactereducation in SDN Lawanggintung 01. The result of this research is the planningof chacarcter education is start with analyst how the condition and potency in this school to decide the value of character which will be implemented there are religious, nationalis, indeoendent, discipline, like to read, appreciate achievement, environmental care.Integrating the main character and values matched with the standards of com-petence and basic competence, suitability with the material. The implementation of character education was realized through teach character values in layers of artefacts on school culture with provide the infrastructure that will support the character education program. The program of character education was designed to build student character through the habituation at school who can make student familiarize by theirselves about character values which has been planned in school. From the result of the research above can be concluded that the implementation of character education in SDN Lawanggintung 01 has been implemented well from the planning to the implementation.
Background: Secondary metabolites from the group of isoprenoid compounds are widely distributed in mangrove plants. Polyisoprenoids (dolichol and polyprenol) are known to have benefits as anticancer agents. The present study was conducted to determine the cytotoxic potential of polyisoprenoids in leaves from seventeen selected mangrove species against colon cancer (WiDr) cells. Methods: Cytotoxic activity was evaluated by MTT assay in vitro using WiDr human colon cancer cells and 3T3 fibroblasts from Swiss albino mouse embryo tissue as controls. Mechanisms of action were approached by assessing apoptosis and the cell cycle using flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy with annexin V-FITC, as well as expression of Bcl-2 and cyclin D1 by immunocytochemistry. Results: Polyisoprenoids from N. fruticans leaves demonstrated the highest anticancer activity, with an IC 50 of 180.2 µg/mL, as compared to 397.7 µg/mL against 3T3 normal cells. Significant decrease in the expression of Bcl-2 and cyclin D1 was also noted, facilitating apoptosis and arrest of the cell cycle in the G0-G1 phase in WiDr cells. The present study showed for the first time that polyisoprenoids from N. fruticans exhibit concrete anticancer activity in vitro, decreasing cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis in colon cancer cells. Conclusions: Polyisoprenoids isolated from N. fruticans leaves may have promise as a source of anticancer agents.

Therefore, this article will discuss issues related to parenting and emotional development of children, such as the definition of parenting, various parenting patterns, characteristics of parenting, factors that influence parenting parenting , understanding emotional development. Characteristics of children's emotional development, factors that influence children's emotional development, emotional social development strategies, and the impact of parenting on children's emotional development. The purpose of this article is to increase understanding of parenting parents on the emotional development of early childhood, so that it raises the desire to seek or improve the implementation of parenting parents for early emotional development of children for parents. Dalam menyesuaikan diri dengan baik sesuai usia dan kematangannya, keluarga merupakan lingkungan pertama yang menuntut. Didalam keluarga orang tua memiliki peran besar dalam memberikan pengaruh pada perkembangan sosial anak. Setiap orang tua tentu mempunyai pola asuh yang berbeda, diantanyanya yaitu: Pola asuh otorite, pola asuh demokratis, dan pola asuh permisif. Pola asuh orang tua pada anak usia dini mencakup pemberian rangsangan fisik, mental, emosional, moral, maupun sosial yang akan mendorong tumbuh kembang anak secara optimal. Gaya pengasuhan terhadap anaknya, akan mempengaruhi pada perkembangan sosial dan kepribadian anak. Gaya pengasuhan yang tidak baik akan menurunkan perkembangan sosial anak yang baik. Pola asuh orang tua berarti kebiasaan orang tua, ayah dan ibu dalam memimpin, mengasuh dan membimbing anak. Mengasuh dalam arti menjaga dengan cara merawat dan mendidiknya. Membimbing dengan cara membentu, melatih, dan sebagainya. Kualitas dan intensitas pola asuh orang tua bervariasi dalam mempengaruhi sikap dan mengarahkan perilaku anak. Karena itu, artikel ini akan membahas masalah yang berkaitan dengan pola asuh orang tua dan perkembangan emosional anak, seperti definisi pola asuh orang tua, macam-macam pola asuh orang tua, ciri-ciri pola asuh orang tua, faktor yang mempengaruhi pola asuh orang tua, pengertian perkembangan emosional. Karakteristik perkembangan emosional anak, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan emosional anak, strategi pengembangan sosial emosional, dan dampak pola asuh terhadap perkembangan emosional anak. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pola asuh orang tua terhadap perkembangan emosional anak usia dini, Sehingga menimbulkan keinginan untuk mencari atau meningkatkan implementasi pola asuh orang tua terhadap perkembanngan emosioal anak udia dini bagi orang tua.
