In this study we address and investigate university students’ perspective on utilizing online learning in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research were the learners of Elementary School Teacher Education, Physical Education, Sociology Education and English Education Department of Universitas Megarezky in 2019/2020 academic year. The number of respondents was 40 respondents. The research instruments were questionnaire that was obtained by google form through analyzing participants’ response to know their perspective in using online learning and in-depth interview. The study showed that previously, students did not use online learning before the pandemic because learning was conducted in the classroom. In the midst of covid-19 pandemic, the students are interested in using online learning in which can be accessed flexible, anywhere and everywhere. The best application used by lecturers and students was WhatsApp application. It can be concluded that the students’ perspective on online learning had a positive impact in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.
Komunikasi merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Beberapa peserta didik di PAUD PKBM Mentari mengalami permasalahan dalam belajar yang berakibat pada prestasi belajar mereka yang semakin menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh efektivitas komunikasi guru terhadap motivasi belajar anak usia dini di PAUD PKBM Mentari Kayaarta, Klaten, Jawa Tengah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitaif, sampel berjumlah 30 orang warga belajar PAUD PKBM Mentari, pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Ŷ = 1,36 + 0,99X. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji t diperoleh nilai > yaitu 12,935 > 1,697. Artinya Efektivitas komunikasi tutor berdampak terhadap Motivasi Belajar anak usia dini di PAUD PKBM Mentari Kayaarta. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Semakin efektif komunikasi tutor kepada anak usia dini, semakin meningkat motivasi mereka untuk mengikuti semua proses pembelajaran.
Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan: (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar interaktif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika pada siswa kelas X SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, (2) menghasilkan bahan ajar interaktif yang layak untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, dan (3) menghasilkan bahan ajar interaktif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah-langkah desain pengembangan yang dikembangkan oleh Alessi & Trollip. Desain pengembangan tersebut dikelompokkan atas tiga prosedur pengembangan, yang meliputi: (a) tahap perencanaan (planning), (b) tahap desain (design), dan (c) tahap pengembangan (development). Penelitian ini (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar interaktif dalam bentuk digital yang dikemas menggunakan Compact Disk (CD) dan dilengkapi buku petunjuk yang dapat digunakan oleh siswa sebagai sumber belajar pendukung pembelajaran matematika, (2) produk yang dihasilkan dinilai sangat layak untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli media dan subyek uji coba, dan (3) produk yang dihasilkan efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, terbukti dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 22,65 meningkat pada posttest sebesar 74,23 dengan nilai gain skor 0,71.Kata kunci: bahan ajar interaktif, pemahaman konsep, siswa SMA kelas X. INTERACTIVE LEARNING MATERIAL TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF CLASS XAbstractThis developmental research aims to: (1) produce an interactive learning material product for improving understanding of mathematical concepts of grade X students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, (2) generate viable interactive learning materials for improving understanding of mathematical concepts of grade X students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, and (3) generating interactive effective learning materials for improving understanding of mathematical concepts of grade X students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. This research refers to the developmental phases developed by Alessi & Trollip. The developmental design was grouped into three development procedures, consisting of: (a) planning, (b) design, and (c) development. The research (1) produces interactive learning materials in digital form which are packed in Compact Disk (CD) and comes with manuals that can be used by students as learning resources supporting mathematics learning, (2) the product is considered highly feasible to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and subject trials, and (3) the product effectively improves the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade X students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, as evidenced by the pretest average value of 22.65 increases in posttest to 74.23 with gain score value of 0.71.Keywords: interactive learning materials, conceptual understanding, high school students of class X
IntroductionLocated in the Sunda Megathrust zone, Mentawai Island is known as the epicenter of an active earthquake that has the potential to cause a tsunami. Students would be one of the most vulnerable groups during the disaster.ProblemThe low-level of School-Based Disaster Preparedness/Sekolah Siaga Bencana (SSB) of students’ preparedness in disaster risk reduction (DRR) can lead to increased vulnerability of students in facing disaster threats, especially a tsunami.MethodsThe study employed observational, correlative analytics with a cross-sectional approach. Pendidikan adalah hal pokok yang akan menopang kemajuan suatu bangsa. Kemajuan suatu bangsa dapat diukur dari kualitas dan sistem pendidikan yang ada. Tanpa pendidikan, suatu negara akan jauh tertinggal dari negara lain. Kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia pada dewasa ini sangat memprihatinkan. Ini dibuktikan di antaranya oleh data UNESCO (2000) tentang peringkat Indeks Pengembangan Manusia (Human Development Index), yaitu komposisi dari peringkat pencapaian pendidikan, kesehatan, dan penghasilan per kepala yang menunjukkan bahwa indeks pengembangan manusia Indonesia makin menurun. Di antara 174 negara di dunia, Indonesia menempati urutan ke-102 pada 1996, ke-99 pada 1997, ke-105 pada 1998, dan ke-109 pada 1999. Selain itu, bukti nyata dari kemerosotan pendidikan di Indonesia adalah terjadinya tawuran, tingkat pelajar maupun mahasiswa. Aksi tawuran yang biasanya dipicu masalah sepele, dampaknya sangatlah besar. Masyarakat di seluruh dunia akan menyaksikan lewat media cetak maupun elektronik amburadulnya pendidikan di Indonesia.
Learning media is one of the important components in the process of implementing learning, especially during the current pandemic. But in reality there are still few teachers who use media in the learning process, causing student learning outcomes to decline. Interactive media which is one of the media that can be used to attract students' attention by combining systems ranging from text, images, videos, and audio/sound can provide new experiences for students in learning. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes after using android-based interactive learning media in social science subjects. The population group consisted of 70 students from several schools in Cluster 2, Cipinang Muara Village. Then samples were taken using the Slovin formula to get 60 samples of fourth grade students. This study uses experimental research methods and uses a single group pre test - post test. The collected data were analyzed through t test. The results showed that android-based interactive media had a positive effect on student learning outcomes. Students experienced a significant increase in learning outcomes by using this media. In addition, students feel more interested and easier to understand the material by using this application. Parent involvement has become very important in successful children’s education. The activities showing parent involvement can not be separated from lifelong education. Therefore, the focus of this research is was on non-formal and informal education in achieving one of the sustainable development goals. Then, this study described parent involvement activities in senior high schools as a model of partnership. This research was qualitative in nature, employing a case study method. The results of this study concerning parent involvement in the education of their teenage children could be seen from the forms of parental support they gave in their children’s activities either at school or at home. It is shown that in terms of parent involvement at school, parents from the upper – middle social-economic status gave more participation in the forms of funds and energy. From both activities, the researchers classified involvement patterns into three, namely habituation, academic involvement, and self-concept. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan kreativitas anak usia dini pada pembelajaran sebelum dan sesudah menggunaka media plastisin, (2) perbedaan kreativitas antara kelompok anak yang diajarkan dengan media plastisin dan media balok di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 5 Mataram. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui kreativitas anak. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan kreativitas anak usia dini pada pembelajaran sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media plastisin. (2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan mengenai kreativitas anak antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Perolehan mean kreativitas eksperimen lebih besar dari pada mean kelompok kontrol yaitu 37,00 > 31,17. Hasil uji-t data posttest kemampuan kreativitas kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-tabel dengan derajat bebas (df) 34 dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 adalah sebesar 2,032. Nilai t-hitung 3,389 > t-tabel 2,032 dan nilai p-value 0,000< taraf signifikansi 0,05.
