Choosing a career as an Islamic teacher has many challenges as well as fun, not everyone is interested in this profession except those who have strong motivation. This study aims to find out the real motivation of students to select department of Islamic teaching education in public university, even though this department is widely offered by state and private Islamic universities. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach (case study design). Sources of data were taken from thirty informants through in-depth interviews selected using a purposive sampling technique, all informants were active students who chose the department of Islamic teaching education at Padang State University in 2017, 2018 and 2019. All interviews were analyzed thematically using the NVivo 10 qualitative analysis software. The results of the analysis showed that there were seven motivations of students to select department of Islamic teaching education. Those seven motivations are: i) self-will, ii) parents' encouragement, iii) choice to become a religious teacher, iv) job opportunities after graduation, v) desire to study at public universities vi) opportunity to spread dakwah, vii) to deepen Islamic knowledge. The results of this study can be used as preliminary data for subsequent researchers to examine this problem in different contexts and issues.
This research aims to explore kinds and impacts of bullying behavior toward students. This research used qualitative methods with case study approach. Data source was taken through deep interview toward 20 informants which are consists of elementary students, junior high school students, senior high school students, teachers, headmaster, security, society figures and parents. All interview data was analyzed thematically by using qualitative analysis software NVivo 10. The whole research results resulted in nine important themes related to kinds and impacts of bullying behavior toward students. Those nine themes are divided into three themes related to kinds of bullying behavior, they are i) physical appearance, ii) verbal, iii) psychology. Futhermore, six themes related to the impacts of bullying behavior, they are: i) No self-confidence, ii) intimidated, iii) inferiority, iv) insecurity, v) afraid of socializing with the environtment, vi) difficult to concentrate in learning. Bullying behavior has no place in education, but the facts show that the problems often appear repeatedly with unconditional time and place. The role of all parties not only schools, parents, and society are needed to prevent bullying behavior because based on this research bullying behavior has negative impacts on students both physically and physchology.
Mathematic consists of related matherials one another. Learning a material, a student have to authorize it’s prerequisite first. If not, the student will often perform the error in solving mathematic problems. Trigonometry is a material which the high school student have to authorize. The purposes of this research are to find out the kind of errors that were carried out by the student when solving trigonometry problems and it’s cause. The method of this research is descriptive research. The students was given a test and then they were interviewed. The result of this research show that the students carried out three kind of errors, they are conceptual, principle and procedural error. Conceptual error was the most considerable error, that was 86,96% of students. Principle and procedural error sequential were 43,48% and 30,43% of students. The causes of these errors were carelessness, error in understanding materials and its prerequestsite, and reading error.
ABSTRACT This research was intended to observe the biological value of cocoa pod as a complete feed for ruminants
Kata Kunci: pod kakao, fermentasi, complete feed, fermentasi mikrobia rumen, domba ABSTRACTThe objective of this research was to improve beneficial value of cacao pod as sheep feed ingredients comprising up to 50% total feed. This research was conducted in two stages. Stage 1 was cacao pod fermentation. Completely randomized design with 3x3 factorial patterns was used in this stage, in which factor I was microbial inoculum dosage of 0%, 0.05% and 0.1% and factor II was incubation period of 0, 3 and 6 days. Result demonstrated that six-day fermentation with 0.05% microbial inoculum could lower cacao NDF, ADF and theobromine. The optimum inoculum dosage and fermentation time from stage 1 was applied to stage 2. Stage 2 was rumen microbial fermentation test. This research administrated 3x3 of latin square design. In period I sheep were fed with CF0 (nonfermented complete feed), in period II sheep were given CF 1 (complete feed containing fermented cacao pod) and in period III sheep were given CF2 (fermented complete feed based cacao pod). Result demonstrated that pH value of sheep microbial liquid in treatment of CF0, CF1 and CF2 was in normal pH range and did not affect volatile fatty acids (VFA) and ammonia. In conclusion, supplementing up to Effect of Fermented Cacao Pod on Rumen Microbial Fermentation (S. Wulandari et al.) 167 50% of feed with complete feed containing fermented or non-fermented cacao pod did not affect the process of rumen microbial fermentation.
Slow learner children may find it hard to learn abstract and symbolic concepts, which could lead to difficulties in math learning, such as sum. The stamp game is a learning media with a concept to teach count operation (sum) with concrete form that is easy to use by children with simple steps and used repeatedly to reinforce the concepts. Thus, it may improve math ability in slow learner children. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of counting operations (sum) in elementary school students who are slow learner by using the stamp game. This study used single case experimental design. The participants were three slow learner children selected using purposive sampling technique. The results of the research show that the stamp game can improve counting (sum) ability in elementary school students who are a slow learner.
